GRANDMA WAS TOLD HER HANDMADE GIFT LOOKED “CHEAP”

Grandma spent three months knitting a blanket for her granddaughter’s baby.
At the baby shower, she carefully handed over the package.
Her daughter-in-law opened it.
Then forced a smile.
“Oh.”
Someone asked what was wrong.
She laughed.
“Nothing. It just looks a little… homemade.”
A few guests chuckled.
Grandma looked down at her hands.
“I did make it myself.”
Later, the granddaughter found Grandma sitting alone.
She picked up the blanket.
Then wrapped it around herself.
“Grandma, you made every stitch?”
Grandma nodded.
“How long?”
“About three months.”
The granddaughter walked back into the party wearing it around her shoulders.
Then announced:
“This is my favorite gift.”
Her mother looked embarrassed.
Years later, when the baby became a child, that blanket was still on his bed.
Most expensive gifts disappeared.
Grandma’s “cheap” one became an heirloom.
