Case Summary (Based on Police Records, March 9, 2026)

Suspect: Magdalena Dybkowska, 34, mother of three young children, of Polish origin (resident of Broward County for 18 years).

Time & Location: Approximately 4:00 AM on March 9, 2026, at her home in North Lauderdale, Broward County, Florida (1800 block Southwest 65th Avenue).

Event: Two sisters had a heated argument and a physical fight. The victim’s boyfriend tried to intervene and moved them to a sofa in the back of the house. During the struggle, Dybkowska pulled out a gun (type unknown) and sH๏τ the victim in the left shoulder at close range (penetrating wound). The victim was injured but not critically, and was later taken to HCA Florida Woodmont (Tamarac).

Police Response: Neighbors called 911 after hearing screams and a “pop” sound like a gunsH๏τ. A woman (possibly the victim) banged on her neighbor’s door, fled in her car, leaving behind a blood-stained backpack. When police knocked, Dybkowska opened the door (the floor was covered in blood), refused to come out, and resisted arrest, resulting in her being handcuffed. Inside were her three young children (unharmed) and blood on the sofa in the back of the house.

Reaction: Both sisters refused to cooperate with police. Their mother later told investigators that the victim had called to admit that her sister had sH๏τ her.

Children: The Florida Department of Children (DCF) immediately placed Dybkowska’s three children under guardianship.

Charges: Attempted murder + Resisting arrest. Currently being held without bail at Broward County Jail.
