Growing up in Los Angeles with parents in the entertainment biz, Stewart hit it big at just 12 when she played Jodie Foster’s daughter in David Fincher’s thriller Panic Room (2002).
As a young actress, she got more attention for her roles in Speak (2004), Into the Wild (2007), Adventureland (2009), and The Runaways (2010). She became a global sensation for her role as Bella Swan in The Twilight Saga series (2008–2012), which is one of the top-grossing film franchises out there.
She also appeared in popular films like Snow White and the Huntsman (2012), Charlie’s Angels (2019), and Happiest Season (2020).
Stewart decided to step back from the big-budget scene and focus on indie films. She received a lot of praise for her work in Camp X-Ray (2014), Clouds of Sils Maria (2014), Personal Shopper (2016), and Seberg (2019). Her performance as Diana, Princess of Wales in Pablo Larraín’s biopic Spencer (2021) earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
