UAE’s Fujairah Energy Hub Struck By Drone, Plumes Of Smoke Rise After Attack.hl

In a bold and direct escalation of the Iran war, Iranian forces have struck the UAE’s strategic Fujairah oil port and energy hub with a drone attack, triggering large fires and sending thick plumes of black smoke high into the sky over the eastern coast of the Emirates.

The strike targeted key oil storage tanks and loading terminals at Fujairah, one of the UAE’s most important energy export facilities outside the Strait of Hormuz. Dramatic footage shows intense flames engulfing multiple tanks, with emergency crews battling to contain the blaze. Local authorities confirmed significant damage and reported several injuries among port workers. Operations at the terminal have been partially suspended, disrupting oil export schedules.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility, describing the attack as “precise retaliation” for the recent U.S.-Israeli bombing of Kharg Island and the UAE’s continued hosting of American military ᴀssets used against Iran. “The UAE chose to become a launchpad for aggression. Now it pays the price,” an IRGC spokesman stated.

This strike marks a dangerous new phase in the conflict. By targeting Fujairah, Iran is deliberately hitting the economic lifeline of America’s closest Arab ally. The UAE plays a critical role in global energy supply, and any prolonged disruption could have serious consequences for oil markets already on edge due to threats against the Strait of Hormuz.

The United States is facing increasing pressure. Operation Epic Fury has already cost America more than $11 billion in munitions in just two weeks. Both the USS Gerald R. Ford and USS Abraham Lincoln remain limited by repeated damage and fires, while critical radar systems across the region have been destroyed and interceptor stockpiles are running dangerously low.

As black smoke continues to rise over Fujairah and global energy markets react nervously, the world is witnessing how quickly this conflict is expanding beyond traditional battlefields. Iran is no longer just defending — it is striking at the economic heart of America’s Gulf partners.

The war is spreading. The cost is rising. And the Gulf’s stability is hanging by a thread.
