Tonight, She’s Holding Her Teddy a Little тιԍнтer… Because Tomorrow Is a Big Day

In a quiet, softly lit room, little Violet lies curled up in her bed, clutching her beloved teddy bear just a little тιԍнтer than usual.

She is only a small child, yet tonight her young heart is heavy with fear. Tomorrow is a very big day — one that even many adults would find overwhelming. Violet is scheduled for surgery on her failing liver. The doctors have explained it as gently as they could, but for such a little girl, the words “surgery,” “hospital,” and “operation” still feel strange, scary, and far too big.

Violet may not fully understand all the medical details, but she understands enough. She senses the worry in the air. She knows that tomorrow she will be taken to a place with bright lights, unfamiliar machines, and people she doesn’t know. And that knowledge is enough to make her hold her teddy bear close.

So tonight, instead of sleeping peacefully, Violet whispers quietly to Jesus. Her small voice trembles slightly as she prays:

“Dear Jesus, please help me not to be scared. Please stay with me tomorrow. Please make me better so I can run and play again…”

Tears may come, but she tries hard to be brave. Her teddy bear — warm, familiar, and smelling like home — is her silent comforter, the one thing she can hold onto when everything else feels uncertain.

Violet Is Not Alone

Even though the room is quiet, Violet is far from alone.

Right now, people all over the world are thinking of her. Parents, grandparents, friends, and even complete strangers are pausing to send love and prayers to a little girl they may never meet. They are praying for strength, for peace, and for healing.

We pray for Violet’s courage — that her young heart will feel wrapped in comfort and peace. We pray for the surgeons and medical team — that their hands will be steady and their decisions wise. We pray for a successful surgery and a liver that begins to heal and function well again. Most of all, we pray that Violet wakes up tomorrow feeling loved, protected, and full of hope.

Violet, sweet girl — if you ever read this one day, please know this:

You are surrounded by love. So many people are cheering for you. You are braver than you know, and you are not fighting this battle alone. After tomorrow, brighter days filled with laughter, play, and endless energy are waiting for you.
