‘MORTAL KOMBAT 2’ will be released on May 8, 2026.

Worldwide Mortal Kombat fans have waited five long years, and finally, the official “Get Over Here” date has been set! Mortal Kombat II will hit theaters in IMAX format on May 8, 2026.
After the first installment in 2021 caused a sensation with its bloody action and classic fatality, the second part promises to take things to a new level: larger scale, deeper storyline, and an unprecedented cast of characters.

Current highlights:

Johnny Cage, played by superstar Karl Urban (The Boys, The Lord of the Rings) – the most anticipated character from the trailer, with his humorous, confident style and unstoppable fighting ability.

Shao Kahn – Earthrealm’s most powerful enemy – will appear in a colossal form and with overwhelming strength, played by Martyn Ford.
The familiar cast of fighters returns: Lewis Tan (Cole Young), Hiroyuki Sanada (Scorpion), Ludi Lin (Liu Kang), Jessica McNamee (Sonya Blade)… along with new additions Adeline Rudolph (Kitana), Tati Gabrielle (Jade), and many other legendary characters.

The film continues to be directed by Simon McQuoid, promising epic battles, top-notch CGI effects, and no shortage of heart-stopping fatality moments.
