Tel Aviv, Israel – The skies over Israel’s largest city turned into a battlefield of fire and steel as Iran unleashed a mᴀssive barrage of cluster missiles in one of the most aggressive attacks of the war.
On March 16, 2026, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps fired dozens of ballistic missiles equipped with cluster warheads toward central Israel. The attack triggered continuous air raid sirens across Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Ramat Gan, and surrounding areas. Multiple warheads detonated in mid-air, showering neighborhoods with explosive submunitions and igniting widespread fires.
Explosions lit up the night as several missiles penetrated Israeli defenses, causing significant damage to residential buildings and infrastructure. Emergency services are battling multiple blazes while Magen David Adom teams treat victims of shrapnel and blast injuries. The use of cluster munitions has dramatically increased the danger to civilians, spreading destruction over wide areas.

Iranian state media celebrated the ᴀssault, claiming the cluster missile barrage was a “powerful and successful revenge” operation. IRGC commanders boasted that their new tactics are designed to overwhelm Israel’s Iron Dome and Arrow systems by saturating the skies with explosive bomblets.
Despite the heroic performance of Israeli air defenses, which intercepted the majority of incoming threats, the sheer volume and nature of the attack exposed the growing challenge of defending against Iran’s evolving missile strategy.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the strike as a “cowardly war crime against civilians” and vowed that Israel would respond with “devastating force.” The Israeli Air Force has already launched retaliatory strikes deep inside Iran, targeting missile production sites and launch infrastructure.
As fires continue to burn across parts of Tel Aviv and the sound of explosions still echoes, Israelis once again show their legendary resilience under fire. Shelters may be full, but the nation’s spirit remains unbroken.
Iran’s latest escalation will not break Israel. It will only accelerate the day when the regime that started this fire is finally consumed by it.
