Afghanistan’s government says a Pakistani airstrike in Kabul has killed at least 400 people and injured hundreds more after a strike hit a drug rehabilitation center.
Officials in Afghanistan say the facility was filled with civilians receiving treatment when the attack occurred. Rescue teams were sent to the scene as authorities searched for survivors among the destroyed buildings.

However, Pakistan says its military targeted technical support facilities and ammunition depots, denying that it struck a medical or rehabilitation center.
The airstrike marks a dramatic escalation in tensions between the two neighboring countries after a fragile ceasefire collapsed earlier this year. Cross-border shelling and airstrikes have intensified along the Afghanistan–Pakistan border.

Pakistan has accused Afghanistan’s Taliban-led government of supporting armed groups responsible for attacks inside Pakistani territory. Meanwhile, humanitarian organizations warn the violence has displaced thousands of civilians.
