The incident officially occurred at 12:15 PM on Monday, March 9, 2026, in the parking lot of Town Center at Cobb Mall (also known as Town Center Mall), located at 400 Ernest W. Barrett Parkway, Kennesaw, Cobb County, Georgia (USA).
Details of the incident (based on mall security camera video + DJ Webb’s phone video):
Mother Angela Weichmann (42 years old, residing in Blairsville, Georgia – some news reports use a variant name Angela Wikman) left her three children (ages 2, 5, and 7) in a non-running car in the outdoor parking lot.
She went shopping at the mall for about an hour.
The 2-year-old (a crying toddler, screaming and barefoot) opened the car door and ran around in the busy parking lot, almost onto the main road.
The two older children tried to restrain her but were unsuccessful.

The person who intervened: DJ Webb (a popular local DJ in Atlanta, Instagram/Facebook @djwebbatlanta) was leaving the mall when he spotted a young child running alone. He shouted, “Where are you going? You can’t walk in the street!” He led the child back to his car, knocked on the window, and spoke to the two older siblings (one of whom had already put the child in the car and said, “I’m babysitting”). Concerned for the child’s safety, DJ Webb immediately called 911.
Cobb County police arrived within minutes, put the three children in the patrol car (gave them snacks, kept them warm), and waited for their mother. Angela Weichmann came out with a fourth child (who had accompanied her into the mall). She was arrested on the spot.

Formal charges (5 counts of misdemeanor):
3 counts of reckless conduct (reckless conduct – leaving children unsupervised in a car).
Disruption of public safety / Criminal trespᴀss.
Upbraiding/abusing public safety personnel (according to some additional reports).
She was taken to Cobb County Jail, then released on probation. The children were handed over to relatives (unharmed).
