Kuwait City — The United States has temporarily shut down its embᴀssy in Kuwait as tensions across the Middle East continue to intensify following the expanding conflict between Israel, the U.S., and Iran.

According to the U.S. State Department, the embᴀssy suspended operations due to growing security threats and ongoing missile and drone attacks linked to Iran’s campaign against U.S. facilities in the Gulf region. Diplomatic staff have been placed under heightened security measures, and routine consular services have been halted.
The closure makes Kuwait the second American diplomatic mission in the region to fully stop operations as the war escalates.

Iranian forces have recently launched waves of missiles and drones targeting U.S. bases and strategic sites across the Gulf, raising fears that the conflict could spread beyond Iran and Israel.
Regional governments remain on high alert, while the United States has warned its citizens to exercise caution or leave certain areas in the Middle East as the security situation continues to deteriorate.
