According to IRGC statements released on March 14, 2026, Iranian air defense systems engaged and destroyed several “hostile” warplanes, including advanced Israeli F-35 stealth fighters and U.S. support aircraft operating over Iranian territory. Iranian state media released footage showing what they claim are burning wreckage and parachutes descending over remote areas of the country.

In the same coordinated operation, the IRGC boasted of launching ballistic missiles that struck the U.S. Naval Headquarters in the region and directly hit Israel’s critical Nevatim Airbase in the Negev Desert — one of the Israeli Air Force’s largest and most strategic installations.
