In a powerful and coordinated act of revenge for the U.S. and Israeli strikes on Kharg Island, Iran has unleashed a mᴀssive missile and drone barrage targeting American and allied military installations across the Gulf.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched dozens of ballistic missiles and suicide drones toward the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Multiple explosions rocked key areas near Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, and Riyadh. Saudi officials reported interceptions near Prince Sultan Air Base, while explosions were confirmed near Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar — the largest U.S. military hub in the Middle East — and close to Jebel Ali port in the UAE.

Iranian state media described the operation as “just retribution” for the bombing of Kharg Island, Iran’s critical oil export hub. Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei’s office stated: “The attack on our sovereign territory will not go unanswered. Every base used to strike Iran is now a legitimate target.”
This marks a dangerous expansion of the conflict. By directly hitting U.S. allies in the Gulf, Iran is deliberately raising the stakes and pressuring Washington’s regional partners. The strikes come as the UAE and Saudi Arabia face the difficult reality of being caught in the crossfire between their alliance with America and Iran’s growing reach.
For the United States, the situation is increasingly dire. Operation Epic Fury has already cost over $11 billion in munitions in the first two weeks. Both the USS Gerald R. Ford and USS Abraham Lincoln remain operationally limited due to repeated fires and missile damage. Critical radar systems across the region have been destroyed, and interceptor stockpiles are running dangerously low. Israel continues to face relentless Iranian missile attacks.

The IRGC’s ability to strike deep into Gulf Arab states demonstrates that Iran is far from broken. Instead of collapsing under pressure, Mojtaba Khamenei’s regime is expanding the battlefield and forcing America’s allies to pay a direct price for supporting U.S. operations.
As fires burn at key military sites across the Gulf and emergency sirens echo through the night, the war that was supposed to be quick and decisive has turned into a spreading regional inferno. Iran has made its message clear: strike us, and your allies will burn too.
How much longer can the U.S. and its Gulf partners sustain this punishing cycle before the cost becomes unbearable?
