In an unprecedented attack, Iran launched long-range ballistic missiles into Israeli territory, resulting in unprecedented damage. A major Israeli city was almost completely leveled in a large-scale attack carried out by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in the early morning of March 27, 2026.
According to intelligence sources and videos circulating on social media, at least 12 missiles penetrated the Iron Dome and David’s Sling air defense systems, directly striking the urban center. Entire residential areas were reduced to rubble, with columns of black smoke rising hundreds of meters into the sky. Witnesses described the scene as “hell on earth”: houses collapsing en mᴀsse, vehicles burning, and cries of anguish echoing through the streets.
Initial damage:
More than 200 people killed and over 1,500 injured, according to preliminary reports from the Israeli Ministry of Health.
The city’s entire electricity, water, and transportation systems were paralyzed.
Several high-rise buildings completely collapsed, burying hundreds of residents beneath the rubble.
Fires continued to rage in many areas, and Israeli rescue forces mobilized thousands of people to search for survivors.
An IRGC spokesman declared: “This is only the first step in a comprehensive retaliatory campaign. We will continue to attack until the enemy is brought to their knees.” Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened an emergency cabinet meeting and declared: “This is a declaration of war. Israel will respond tenfold.”
