In a dramatic display of power and technological prowess, Iran has unleashed its most advanced ballistic missile yet — the Sejjil — in a punishing attack on Israel, sending millions into shelters and exposing critical gaps in Israeli and American defenses.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) fired multiple Sejjil-2 missiles in coordinated salvos overnight, targeting central and northern Israel. Israeli air defenses struggled to track the weapon, which Israeli media has begun calling the “Dancing Missile” due to its high-speed mid-flight maneuvers that make interception extremely difficult. At least two missiles penetrated the Iron Dome and Arrow systems, causing powerful explosions near Tel Aviv suburbs and the Haifa region. Fires and significant damage were reported on the ground.
The Sejjil is no ordinary missile. This solid-fuel, two-stage “monster weapon” carries a mᴀssive 1.5-ton warhead, reaches hypersonic speeds, and can perform evasive maneuvers during flight. Unlike older liquid-fuel missiles that require hours of preparation, the Sejjil can be launched in minutes from mobile platforms, making it one of Iran’s most dangerous ᴀssets.

Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei’s regime hailed the strike as “the True Promise fulfilled,” vowing that more advanced missiles will follow if U.S. and Israeli aggression continues under Operation Epic Fury.
This latest barrage comes as the United States faces growing military strain. America has already burned through more than $11 billion in munitions in just two weeks. Both the USS Gerald R. Ford and USS Abraham Lincoln remain severely limited by repeated fires and Iranian missile damage. Critical radar systems across the Gulf have been destroyed, and interceptor stockpiles are running dangerously low.
By successfully deploying the Sejjil against Israel, Iran has demonstrated that weeks of heavy bombardment have not destroyed its missile program. Instead, Tehran is revealing increasingly sophisticated weapons while keeping Israel under constant pressure.
As explosions echo across Israeli cities and the “Dancing Missile” rewrites the rules of this conflict, one uncomfortable question grows louder in Jerusalem and Washington: Has Operation Epic Fury not only failed to break Iran — but actually forced it to unleash its most advanced arsenal?
The monster has awakened. And the war has just become far more dangerous.
