Iran Challenges the US: “We Will Decide When to Stop the War Only After All US Forces/Bases Are Expelled from the Middle East”

Tehran, March 11, 2026 – Senior IRGC leaders and the Khatam al-Anbiya Command today reiterated their strongest statement since the start of the conflict:

“We will decide when to stop the war ourselves. No ceasefire agreement will be accepted until all US bases and forces are expelled from the Middle East.”
The statement was made by General Hossein Salami (IRGC Commander) and General Ali Abdollahi (Khatam al-Anbiya Commander), broadcast live on state television and widely disseminated on Sepah News & Fars News.

US Response
CENTCOM: “Iran has no right to decide anything regarding the legitimate presence of the US and its allies in the region. We will maintain our bases in accordance with our security commitments.”
President Trump: Posted on Truth Social: “Iran is dreaming big. They will beg for a ceasefire before we drive them out of Tehran.”

Context
This is the second time Iran has emphasized “expulsion” as a prerequisite for ending the war. Experts believe this is a strong psychological pressure tactic aimed at forcing the US to consider withdrawing troops from major bases (Al Udeid – Qatar, Bahrain, Al ᴀssad – Iraq…).

Currently, there are no signs of a ceasefire, and airstrikes on both sides continue.
