“I sH๏τ every one of those people in their head”: Courtroom shock as Riviera Beach shooting suspe

The incident occurred in Riviera Beach, Florida (USA) – not Georgia like previous cases. This was a mᴀss shooting that shocked the Palm Beach County community.

Key details:

Suspect: Tramonte Terrell Gibson (or Terrell Gibson), 20 years old, residing in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Time & location: Monday night (approximately 6:15 PM, March 17, 2026) at the Azure Estates apartment complex (near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard), Riviera Beach.

Events: Gibson was visiting a friend when he suddenly pulled out a gun (due to a severe mental breakdown – hearing “voices” and seeing “demons” that others couldn’t see). He sH๏τ five people within five minutes, all hitting them in the head:

Died on the spot: John Richard Haliburton III (25 years old) – Gibson’s cousin (a recent father).

Seriously wounded: Dillion Wright (sH๏τ directly in the head), James Easley (parishioner, multiple sH๏τs), Anthony Evans, and Charles Daniels.

Gibson then fled, attempting to carjack several vehicles, shooting more people, and stealing a car to escape. He was apprehended by Florida Highway Patrol on I-95 (St. Lucie County).

The shocking trial (First Appearance – Wednesday, March 18-19, 2026, Palm Beach County Court):

Gibson repeatedly interrupted the judge and defense attorney, speaking about mental health issues: “I’m fighting something I can’t even see. I see it at night. I see it now, looking at you.”

Initially denying who died (“nobody died”), he then abruptly and bluntly admitted:

“I sH๏τ every one of those people in their head; they’re not making it back.”

He even specifically mentioned his cousin and ᴀsserted, “I don’t care,” when his lawyer warned that his testimony could be used against him: “I don’t care, I’m speaking the truth from my heart.”

The judge had to intervene several times because Gibson was so agitated and combative with the public defender (“shut up”).

Charges & Status:

First-degree murder (minimum sentence: life imprisonment without parole).

Multiple charges of attempted first-degree murder (4 charges).

Carjacking with a gun.

Bond denied. Gibson is undergoing mental health evaluation.

Reaction:

The courtroom video (bodycam footage) went viral online, causing a major shock due to the spontaneous confession made just 48 hours after the incident.
Riviera Beach police said it was clearly a mental health crisis, but Gibson still faces a severe sentence.
