FIRE IN IRAN’S LONGEST TUNNEL SYSTEM — THOUSANDS OF TROOPS TRAPPED UNDERGROUND.lh

Near Qom, Iran – A catastrophic fire has erupted deep inside Iran’s largest underground tunnel network, trapping thousands of IRGC troops and revolutionary guards in a suffocating maze of smoke and flames.

Just hours ago on March 16, 2026, a powerful explosion — believed to be the result of a precision U.S. or Israeli strike — ignited a raging inferno inside the sprawling tunnel complex known as “Project 901.” The facility, stretching over 80 kilometers and buried hundreds of feet beneath the mountains, was designed to protect Iran’s most sensitive missile programs and senior leadership during wartime.

Thick toxic smoke is now pouring out of multiple tunnel entrances as fires spread rapidly through ventilation systems. Iranian rescue teams are desperately attempting to reach trapped personnel, but reports suggest many sections have completely collapsed or become impᴀssable due to intense heat and falling debris.

IRGC sources admit that “several thousand” soldiers and technical personnel were inside the complex at the time of the blast, conducting operations and moving missile components. The regime has declared a state of emergency in the area while trying to downplay the scale of the disaster.

This is a devastating strategic blow to Iran. The tunnel network was considered one of the regime’s most secure ᴀssets — a “doomsday bunker” meant to survive sustained aerial bombardment. Its partial destruction, along with the potential loss of highly trained troops and critical equipment, represents a serious setback for Iran’s war effort.

U.S. and Israeli officials have not officially claimed responsibility, but military analysts say the strike demonstrates the increasing precision and reach of allied forces against even Iran’s most fortified underground facilities.

As rescue operations continue and black smoke continues to rise from the mountains, the images emerging from the site paint a grim picture for the Iranian regime: even their deepest, most protected strongholds are no longer safe.

The pressure on Tehran is mounting with every pᴀssing hour.
