In a major early-morning operation, the FBI, in coordination with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and local law enforcement, raided a large trucking and logistics hub in Miami, uncovering what authorities are calling one of the biggest cartel money laundering operations discovered on U.S. soil this year.
Agents swarmed the 42-acre facility in the Port of Miami area, executing search warrants on multiple warehouses, offices, and truck maintenance bays. Inside hidden compartments of long-haul trailers and behind false walls in storage units, agents discovered approximately $320 million in cash — mostly in crisp $100 bills shrink-wrapped on pallets. Forensic teams also seized ledgers, encrypted laptops, and shipping manifests that allegedly trace the money back to the Sinaloa and Jalisco New Generation Cartels.

Authorities believe the trucking company was used as a sophisticated front to move mᴀssive volumes of drug profits from across the United States back to Mexico. The operation reportedly involved falsified cargo documents, GPS spoofing, and corrupt drivers who transported cash mixed with legitimate freight.
At least 27 individuals, including the company’s owner, senior managers, and several long-haul drivers, have been arrested so far on charges including money laundering, conspiracy to distribute narcotics, and operating a criminal enterprise. More arrests are expected in the coming days.
FBI officials described the raid as a “significant blow” to cartel financial networks operating in South Florida. “This wasn’t just a trucking company — it was a multi-hundred-million-dollar pipeline for cartel cash,” one senior agent stated during a press briefing.

The discovery has sent ripples through Miami’s logistics industry, with authorities now examining whether other trucking firms in the region have been similarly compromised. The seized money is expected to be forfeited to the U.S. government.
This major operation highlights the growing concern over how Mexican cartels continue to exploit America’s transportation infrastructure to move and launder billions in illicit profits.
The investigation remains active and is considered highly sensitive.
