Russia’s consulate general in Isfahan, Iran, was damaged during an attack that struck a nearby government administration building amid the escalating regional conflict. The blast shattered windows in both the office and residential sections of the consulate, and several staff members were affected by the shockwave. Fortunately, no fatalities or serious injuries were reported.

Russian officials strongly condemned the incident, calling attacks on diplomatic missions a “blatant violation of international conventions” that protect embᴀssies and consulates during conflicts. Moscow urged all parties involved in the widening Middle East war to respect diplomatic sites and avoid further escalation that could draw additional countries into the crisis.

The damage to the consulate comes as fighting between the United States, Israel, and Iran continues to intensify across the region, with drone strikes, missile attacks, and air operations spreading beyond Iran’s borders.
