Star Wars’ Next TV Show Is Officially Just 2 Weeks Away

We’re officially just two weeks away from the next Star Wars TV show, which promises to be one of the best of the Disney era. 2025 has been an unforgettable year for the Star Wars galaxy, with Tony Gilroy’s Andor setting new standards for the franchise’s live-action TV shows. But the year isn’t done yet.

Andor was undeniably the best Star Wars TV show ever. But the next Star Wars TV show, which comes out in exactly two weeks’ time, is another of the best; in fact, it’s coming back for a third eagerly-anticipated season.

Star Wars’ Next TV Show Will Be Released Very Soon

The next Star Wars movie, The Mandalorian and Grogu, isn’t due out until next May. Before then, we get Star Wars: Visions season 3 – an epic animated anthology series that allows different animation houses the chance to reinvent George Lucas’ saga. These stories aren’t canon, but canon isn’t the same as quality.

To give an idea of that quality, the first two seasons of Star Wars: Visions have a stunning 98% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Star Wars: Visions season 3 trailer gives a sense of just how incredible this next season will be. It features a range of new and returning animation houses, and the action looks incredible.

Star Wars: Visions Shows The Future Of Star Wars

Star Wars Visions Season 3's New Sith Lightsaber

The returning animation houses really redefine this season, because they mean some of what had previously been one-sH๏τ stories are turning into something so much more. We’re getting a sequel to season 1’s “The Duel,” a story so beloved it’s been adapted into both a novel and a Manga.

Meanwhile, we’re also anticipating a sequel to “The Ninth Jedi,” a story set in a galaxy ruled by the Sith where the Jedi Order is being rebuilt in an age of darkness. “The Ninth Jedi” timeline is set to continue growing, with an entire four-episode spinoff due next year; this limited series shows just how much potential Visions has.

2025 has been a good year for Star Wars, and the franchise is returning to the big screen next year. Until now, though, viewers are in for something truly special.
