When Will Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Be Released?

Avengers: Doomsday is going to be one of the biggest movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and anticipation has built for its first trailer, which could be released soon. So far, Marvel is being very secretive about the MCU’s next Avengers movie. While we know that Robert Downey Jr. leads Avengers: Doomsday‘s cast as Doctor Doom, story details are nonexistent.

Even when it comes to the film’s cast, the MCU is keeping a few actors under wraps, only revealing part of the cast in the live-stream chairs event for the Avengers movie. The first real look at Avengers: Doomsday‘s story would only come when the MCU movie’s trailer is released. To that end, a few dates emerge as likely spots for it.

The First Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Has Three Major Possible Release Dates

There is a chance that the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer will be released in December, before the year ends. After all, Marvel has already finished filming the Avengers movie, which is the next purely MCU film on the studio’s slate, as July 2026’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a Sony co-production and is still filming. December could be special.

Not only would it allow Marvel to start hyping up Avengers: Doomsday a year before its planned release, but the MCU could put it in theaters in front of a major Disney movie that should gross billions worldwide. Releasing December 19, Avatar: Fire and Ash is the perfect film to pair the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer with.

Studio synergy and the Avatar franchise’s box office potential would ensure as many eyeballs as possible for the Avengers: Doomsday trailer. Alternatively, two major 2026 events could see the trailer’s debut. The first would be the Super Bowl on February 8, 2026. The event is known for blockbuster trailer premieres. A July release at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, if Marvel attends, would also make sense.

How The Last Two Avengers Movies Could Impact Avengers: Doomsday’s Trailer Release Date

With the Russo Brothers returning to direct the MCU’s upcoming Avengers movies after helming the franchise’s last two entries, Marvel might have a similar strategy to the one that worked before. 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War saw its first trailer released on November 29, 2017. That was 149 days before the movie’s release.

A similar gap would put the Avengers: Doomsday trailer’s release date on July 22, 2026. Avengers: Endgame had a slightly different plan, with its first trailer being released on December 7, 2018, making for a 140-day gap between the trailer and the film’s release. The first Avengers: Doomsday trailer would then arrive on July 31, 2026, based on that metric.

If the Avengers: Doomsday trailer follows the general formula of the MCU’s last two Avengers movies, then a July 2026 release date could be in play. If that were to happen, a major Marvel Hall H panel reveal at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, which will happen on July 23–26, would be the most likely event for the anticipated Avengers: Doomsday trailer.
