Jurᴀssic World Rebirth has just confirmed its streaming release date. Premiering on July 2 and taking place three years after Jurᴀssic World Dominion, the Gareth Edwards film stars Scarlett Johansson as covert operative Zora Bennett, alongside Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, and others, as they venture to a dinosaur-infested island to retrieve genetic material.
Jurᴀssic World Rebirth grossed $867 million worldwide on a budget of $180-225 million, making it the fourth highest-grossing film of 2025, yet still considerably lower in earnings than previous Jurᴀssic movies. On Rotten Tomatoes, Rebirth received mixed reactions. With a 50% Tomatometer and 71% Popcornmeter, the film was praised for its spectacle, though criticized for not evolving the series.
Now, in a recent post via X (formerly Twitter), Peacock has officially confirmed that Jurᴀssic World Rebirth will make its debut on the streaming platform on October 30, joining the rest of the Jurᴀssic movie franchise. Rebirth was previously released on VOD on August 5, with a 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release on September 9.

What This Means For Jurᴀssic World Rebirth
Streaming on Peacock in late October ensures Jurᴀssic World Rebirth remains in public conversation well after its theatrical cycle wraps up. For Universal, it means continuing to monetize the film across multiple platforms — first box office, then digital buy/rent, then subscription streaming — following a revenue curve many blockbusters now rely on and Universal’s own streaming release trend for movies.
For fans, October 30 offers a definitive date to stream the movie without needing to rent or purchase, and the timing also positions Rebirth for renewed buzz, especially around awards season. However, more importantly, Rebirth‘s dinosaur action is perfect for Halloween viewing and Peacock’s upcoming Jurᴀssic franchise package, in which all Jurᴀssic movies will be available to stream.
Our Take On Jurᴀssic World Rebirth’s Streaming Strategy
Placing Jurᴀssic World Rebirth on Peacock’s schedule in late October is a smart idea. While Jurᴀssic Park was originally intended to be much more horrific, the franchise is famous for its dinosaur thrills. As Rebirth is the latest installment, it makes sense to promote it in October to deliver on this premise.
Rebirth‘s streaming announcement does come with risks, as the film’s mixed critical reception makes it a tougher sell. However, I don’t think we need to worry too much, as even the most divisive movies can make a comeback on streaming, and the excitement surrounding the entire Jurᴀssic franchise’s streaming availability will be more than enough draw for Jurᴀssic World Rebirth.
