Liam Neeson’s Highest-Grossing Movie In 10 Years Is Coming To Streaming Tomorrow

Liam Neeson’s hit 2025 comedy The Naked Gun is finally going to make its streaming debut. The movie, a reboot/sequel to the classic comedy franchise of the lates 1980s, early 1990s starring Leslie Nielsen, sees Neeson star as Frank Drebin Jr. as he bumbles his way to solving a murder. After making $102 million worldwide, The Naked Gun now looks to become a streaming hit.

The Naked Gun premieres on Paramount+ on Tuesday, Sept. 30. A subscription will be required to watch the movie on the platform. However, if you don’t subscribe to The Naked Gun, it is also available to buy or rent via video-on-demand platforms, as it has been since early September.

Neeson stars in the movie alongside Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Danny Huston, CCH Pounder, and Kevin Durand. It was directed by Akiva Schaffer, who also co-wrote the script with Dan Gregor and Doug Mand. Seth MacFarlane was also on board as a producer. In addition to being a box office hit, The Naked Gun earned rave reactions from fans and critics, including scoring an 88% “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes.

What This Means For Liam Neeson’s The Naked Gun

One of the funniest movies of the year is now as easy to watch as ever. Based on the word of mouth the movie has generated since its release, it will be interesting to see how it performs on the streaming service.

The announcement also brings all The Naked Gun movies under one streaming platform. All three of Nielsen’s The Naked Gun movies – The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!, The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear, and The Naked Gun 33 1/3: The Final Insult – are currently streaming on Paramount+. The original three movies are also streaming for free on PlutoTV, but Paramount+ is the spot if you want to watch all four Naked Gun movies.

I’m looking forward to rewatching Neeson’s The Naked Gun. It was hysterical to watch the movie in theaters, and I’m hoping that it will hold up just as well as its predecessor.

Neeson’s comedic ability has long been underrated, but he is great taking the mantle from a legend like Nielsen with the Drebin role. Even so, Anderson’s performance may have stolen the movie. Of course, they were backed by a script that is the perfect blend of clever and stupid, with some solid modern commentary, that really justified updating the classic comedy.

With The Naked Gun now streaming, it’s a great option whenever you’re in need of a laugh.
