Evan Peters Imagines A Bold MCU Future For Quicksilver & Magneto

Evan Peters addressed whether Quicksilver is set to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Throughout The Multiverse Saga’s run, several characters outside the MCU timeline have made their way into the ever-growing Avengers franchise through various movies and TV shows, especially after Marvel Studios got the X-Men rights back.

One of them was Peters, as he played Peter Maximoff in Fox’s Marvel era of the X-Men movies during the prequels. However, the American Horror Story veteran made his MCU debut in Phase 4 during WandaVision, initially posing as a “recast” version of Wanda’s brother before being revealed as Ralph Bohner.

In a new interview with ComicBook, the 38-year-old star was asked if the questions about coming back to the MCU were ever getting tiring, and whether or not he will be back in the franchise anytime soon. While Peters loves being asked about reprising his role, he gave the following response about if he is coming back in the near future:

Evan Peters: No, haha. No, actually. I’m curious… Yeah, anything really. I had such a blast playing that character. And, you got to dive a little bit into his home life is weird as it was. But, but, yeah, sort of exploring that more would be interesting. And the relationship with Magneto would be pretty cool. Yeah. So, yeah, I don’t know. Knock on wood.

The last time he was seen in The Multiverse Saga was in 2024, where he showed up for an episode of Agatha All Along. Ralph appeared in “Familiar By Thy Side,” where he contacts Joe Locke’s Billy Maximoff, who is investigating the events of Westview in WandaVision.

When it comes to Marvel actors being asked about returning to the franchise, especially for the bigger projects, it’s key to remember that they usually have to keep things under wraps, leading to them having to give false answers in interviews. Since Marvel Studios loves to surprise the audience, it’s unclear if Peters could simply be playing coy.

With Quicksilver also being a major fan-favorite, it wouldn’t be shocking if he could be one of the secret characters who will be part of the Avengers: Doomsday cast. Since Sir Ian McKellen is set to return as Magneto in the 2026 installment, this would be the proper time to have that family reunion.

Based on his response, it wouldn’t be shocking if he actually knows more than he is letting on, especially after Kevin Feige has said that there are still other cast members that they have yet to reveal for Avengers: Doomsday. Even though the team-up film for 2026 has officially wrapped filming, there are bound to be reshoots later on.

If he doesn’t show up next year, there is always the chance that his Marvel-Fox character could be part of the Avengers: Secret Wars cast, as the final Phase 6 movie has yet to start filming. Hopefully, the world has not seen the last of Peters’ Quicksilver in the MCU.
