This Custom LEGO Star Destroyer Goes Far Beyond Ultimate Collector Status

One of the most impressive custom Star Wars LEGO sets has completely blown official Ultimate Collector Series models out of the water. A brilliant LEGO custom of an Imperial Star Destroyer has recently been shared online. However, the true scope of how epic it truly is only becomes clear when compared to official models.

Shared by Jake Myers (@polskihussar) on Instagram, this mᴀssive custom LEGO Star Destroyer looks to have been designed on Rebrickable.com by MOC designer @raskolnikov. Featuring over 15,000 pieces, the custom Star Destroyer model clears even the biggest official LEGO sets by a few thousand, a testament to its size, impressive level of detail, and play features that have been included.

This Custom LEGO Star Destroyer Absolutely Dwarfs The Official UCS Model

Released in 2019, LEGO’s most recent official LEGO Star Destroyer (75252) only had 4,784 pieces with a length of 43 inches. However, this build didn’t feature any kind of interior. Likewise, play features were limited to only a scaled mini-build of Princess Leia’s Tantive IV, which could fit in the Imperial warship’s hangar bay.

Conversely, this custom LEGO Star Destroyer from Rebrickable’s @raskolnikov features three times as many bricks with a total piece count of 15,310.

Despite coming in at 37 inches (the same length as LEGO’s first Star Destroyer from 2002), the level of detail far surpᴀsses both of LEGO’s official UCS models. This includes a full interior featuring a bridge for Imperial officers, a barracks, a canteen, and even a conference room.

The interior also features a hangar containing two TIE Fighters with foldable wings, allowing them to be stored within the model itself. There’s also way more play features, including rotating turbolaser guns that can be rotated in unison by turning one of the engines, as well as a ʙuттon to launch Imperial probe droids.

Using LEGO’s upcoming UCS Death Star as a reference with its 9,023 pieces and $1,000 price tag, it’s likely that an official LEGO UCS Star Destroyer with 15,000 pieces would likely cost somewhere in the ballpark of $1,700.

That said, motivated builders can purchase the instructions for this custom Star Destroyer build on Rebrickable, along with a full part list that can be imported to BrinkLink, the largest online LEGO marketplace for individual parts and minifigs.

At any rate, this custom LEGO Star Destroyer is easily one of the more impressive single-ship Star Wars MOCs I’ve ever seen.
