Portland’s premiere comic convention, Rose City Comic Con, is taking place from September 5-7 this year with a stacked line-up of guests. Celebrities, voice actors, comic artists, and authors can be seen at the Oregon Convention Center taking part in panels, pH๏τo ops, and autograph sessions. The celebrity panels can be seen on the Main Stage in the convention center’s Portland Ballroom, where ScreenRant’s own Joe Deckelmeir can be seen as the Main Stage host.
This year, Rose City Comic Con is also launching a Retailer Day on September 5th, an invite-only event to connect comic retailers, publishers, and distributors with panels, announcements and exclusive signings. The convention has an impressive list of comic names including Brian Michael Bendis, Kelly Sue Deconnick, and Matt Fraction, among many others, alongside guests from Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactic, and The Goonies. There are so many stars to be excited to see at Rose City Comic Con.

Steven Ogg
Known for Grand Theft Auto V, The Walking ᴅᴇᴀᴅ, Better Call Saul
Steven Ogg is a man of many talents. In 2008, after taking a break from acting, he rose to fame as the voice and motion capture actor for Trevor Phillips in Grand Theft Auto V. Since then, he has appeared in Better Call Saul, The Walking ᴅᴇᴀᴅ, Snowpiercer, and more – where he’s known for playing loose cannon characters. Ogg joins his Walking ᴅᴇᴀᴅ cast members Josh McDermitt (Eugene Porter) and Michael Cudlitz (Abraham Ford) for a panel on Saturday at 3:00 PM on the Main Stage.

Known for The Fall of the House of Usher, The Haunting of Hill House
Mike Flanagan has created his own world for Netflix full of horror, complex stories, and recurring actors. Katie Parker is one of those actors, appearing in The Fall of the House of Usher, The Midnight Club, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and The Haunting of Hill House. She joins fellow Flanaverse actors Henry Thomas and Carl Lumbly for a panel on Sunday at 11:15 AM on the Main Stage all about working with the master of horror across numerous series.

Christopher Eccelston
Known for Doctor Who, Thor: The Dark World
Christopher Eccleston launched the modern era of Doctor Who as the Ninth Doctor in 2005. While only playing the character for one season, he made a lasting impact on one of the greatest sci-fi series of all time. Besides his role in Doctor Who, Eccleston also played the villain Malekith in Thor: The Dark World, Major Henry West in 28 Days Later, and Captain Ted Connelly in season 4 of True Detective. Eccleston joins his companion, Billie Piper, who played Rose Tyler, for a panel on Sunday at 10:00 AM on the Main Stage.

Edward James Olmos
Known for Battlestar Galactica, Mayans M.C.
Edward James Olmos is an actor with an impressive career across film and television. He has appeared in everything from classic TV shows such as Miami Vice to a scene-stealing role in The West Wing to the role of head patriarch of the Reyes family in Mayans M.C. But one of his best and most well-known roles is as Admiral William Adama in Battlestar Galactica, the tough and commanding but caring leader of the battlestar of the show’s name. Olmos joins cast members Mary McDonnell (Laura Roslin) and Katee Sackhoff (Kara “Starbuck” Thrace) for a Battlestar Galactica panel at Rose City Comic Con on Saturday at 12:30 PM on the Main Stage. Mary McDonnell
Known for Battlestar Galactica, The Fall of the House of Usher
It is hard to talk about Admiral Adama without mentioning his counterpart, President Laura Roslin, played by Mary McDonnell. Roslin was a formidable opponent and an even stronger ally to Adama and the two actors provided both the heart and backbone of the series. McDonnell is also a new member of the Flanaverse, having played Madeline Usher in The Fall of the House of Usher, one of Netflix’s scariest shows.

Known for Miraculous Ladybug, Hunter x Hunter
Cristina Vee has voiced characters throughout anime, animation, and video games. She is best known as the English dub voice of Marinette Dupain-Cheng, the superhero known as Ladybug in Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. She also voices Killua in Hunter x Hunter, the young son in a legendary family of ᴀssᴀssins. Vee joins her Hunter x Hunter co-stars Erica Mendez (Gon) and Keith Silverstein (Hisoka) for a panel on Friday at 2:15 PM on the Main Stage.

Liam O’Brien
Known for Critical Role, The Legend of Vox Machina
Critical Role has seen incredible success with the fourth campaign of the Dungeons & Dragons web series set to premiere this October. Besides the ongoing game, there are also two Amazon Prime series, The Legend of Vox Machina and the spin-off The Mighty Nein, which will also premiere this year in November. Liam O’Brien plays the character of Vax and also voices him in the Amazon series and will also play his character Caleb Widogast in The Mighty Nein. O’Brien will be joined by party member Sam Riegel for a panel on Saturday at 1:45 PM on the Main Stage.

Known for The Walking ᴅᴇᴀᴅ, Superman & Lois
Michael Cudlitz is best known for playing fan-favorite character Abraham Ford on The Walking ᴅᴇᴀᴅ. He is just as good at playing bad guys as playing the hero, also starring as Lex Luthor on Superman & Lois, a role that fans have welcomed despite the character’s brutal nature. Cudlitz will appear on The Walking ᴅᴇᴀᴅ Spotlight panel alongside McDermitt and Ogg at Rose City Comic Con.

Carl Lumbly
Known for Captain America: Brave New World, The Fall of the House of Usher
Carl Lumbly has played superheroes in both the Marvel and DC Universes. He voiced J’onn J’onzz/Martin Manhunter in the animated Justice League series and subsequent movies and played Issiah Bradley in The Falcon and the Winter Solider and Captain America: Brave New World. He also played the father of J’onn J’onzz, M’yrnn J’onzz, in Supergirl. Lumbly played a different kind of hero as C. Auguste Dupin in The Fall of the House of Usher and will appear on a panel with his fellow Flanaverse actors Henry Thomas and Katie Parker.

John Rhys-Davies
Known for The Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones
John Rhys-Davies has played memorable characters from the good-natured Sallah in the Indiana Jones movies to the dwarf Gimli in The Lord of the Rings series to the scheming Viscount Mabrey in The Princess Diaries 2: The Royal Engagement. The Lord of the Rings series is set to continue with Andy Serkis’ 2027 film, The Hunt for Gollum, and Rhys-Davies has already stated his desire to return should the director have him.
