Supernatural forces are behind the twisted body horror in the 90% RT movie Together, now available on VOD. It stars Alison Brie and Dave Franco as a couple whose move to the country brings them into contact with a mysterious, flesh-altering force.

The acclaimed Together becomes available on all digital platforms to own or rent starting August 26th and on 4K Ultra HD/Blu-Ray Combo, Blu-Ray, and DVD starting in late October 2025, NEON confirms.

Brie and Franco are fantastic in Together, as a couple whose strife-ridden relationship reaches another level of toxicity after they fall into an underground cavern, and are infected with a mysterious force that causes their flesh to literally merge any time they come close (the metaphor should be obvious).

The body horror in Together may be truly disturbing and twisted, but the film is more than just a gross-out. It’s also an unusually perceptive relationship movie, one that benefits greatly from the easy chemistry between Brie and Franco, who are a couple in real life.

Brie and Franco’s co-dependent bickering draws the viewer in long before anything horrifying or supernatural happens. Franco is particularly excellent as a man with big dreams who seems to lack the courage necessary to make them come true, causing his more-motivated partner to resent him.

The horrors unleashed in the cavern slowly become apparent, as Franco and Brie find themselves drawn together almost magnetically, as their flesh seeks to merge. The implications of this lead not only to gruesome horror moments, but darkly comedic ones as well.

A particular highlight sees Brie and Franco succumbing to lust in a school bathroom, leading to a moment of awkwardness that is almost brutally hilarious. Critics have praised not just the performances but also the script, pushing Together to a well-deserved 90% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
