New Spider-Man: Brand New Day set videos and pH๏τos are hinting at Peter Parker having a big clash with a mᴀssive Marvel anti-hero. Phase 6 will finally see Tom Holland making his return to the MCU timeline, after the devastating ending to Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021.

While many details about the Spider-Man: Brand New Day story are being kept under wraps, one of the big MCU players who is set to appear in the film is Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle, a.k.a. the Punisher. Brand New Day will mark the first MCU movie in which Bernthal’s Marvel-Netflix character appears, as he has only been present in these TV shows.

Given that Spider-Man and Punisher are distinctly different characters, it would not be shocking if Brand New Day had Peter and Frank at odds when they first meet. Since Brand New Day will be released after Daredevil: Born Again season 2, and most likely, Punisher’s MCU Special Presentation, this movie seems to be where they will meet for the first time.

However, while they may clash at first, Bernthal and Holland’s characters are bound to find common ground at some point in the movie, as they go up against whoever the film’s actual big bad ends up being. While there have been theories of Mister Negative being Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘s villain, there is no confirmation about who the main threat actually is.

However, Bernthal’s Punisher isn’t the only big MCU addition to look out for in the next Spider-Man installment, as Mark Ruffalo will be back as Bruce Banner, a.k.a. Hulk. Hopefully, as Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues filming, more clues about the overall story will start to emerge.
