Netflix‘s new smash hit with a 97% Rotten Tomatoes score has become the streaming service’s second most-watched movie in history. Since 2021, Netflix’s most-watched movie of all time has been Red Notice, sitting at 230.9 million views. However, the star-studded action-comedy featuring Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot could be unseated by Netflix’s new smash hit very soon.
Some of Netflix’s most-watched movies of all time also include Carry-On (2024), an action thriller starring Taron Egerton, and Don’t Look Up (2021), Adam McKay’s star-studded political satire featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Timothée Chalamet, Meryl Streep, and many more. Another Ryan Reynolds vehicle, The Adam Project (2022), also ranks within the top five.
Sandra Bullock’s post-apocalyptic thriller Bird Box (2018) still holds a place in the top 10, alongside newer sensations like Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz’s action-comedy Back in Action (2025) and Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmai’s star-studded apocalyptic thriller Leave the World Behind (2023), featuring Julia Roberts, Mahershala Ali, Ethan Hawke, and Kevin Bacon. Now, Netflix’s new smash hit is climbing further up the list.

What This Means For KPop Demon Hunters
Week after week, KPop Demon Hunters has captivated audiences worldwide and currently shows no signs of slowing down, seemingly destined to become Netflix’s most-popular movie of all time. The animated musical has racked up at least 20 million views per week for the past eight weeks since its release on June 20.
KPop Demon Hunters needs about 46.3 million more views to surpᴀss Red Notice, and if it continues performing at the rate it has, it could become Netflix’s most-watched movie of all time in two more weeks, or three at the absolute latest.
