The FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department deputies conducted searches on Friday night at a property near Guthrie’s
Speaking to the New York Times on Friday, Nanos was asked how long it could be until they find her.
“Maybe it’s an hour from now, maybe it’s weeks or months or years from now,” he told the outlet.
“But we won’t quit. It’s exhausting, these ups and downs, but we will keep moving forward.”

However, a law enforcement official later told CNN on Saturday no arrests were made as a result of the operation.
On Saturday morning, Sheriff Nanos told Arizona’s Family sister station, 13 News, that the searches on Friday night were “Nothing more than a lead tracked down that led to a search warrant.”

But this latest update comes just hours after Nanos was accused of blocking the FBI from key physical evidence and the Sheriff’s department as a whole was slammed for “earlier setbacks” in the investigation.
This prompted the sheriff to lash out and tell NBC affiliate KVOA that these claims are “not even close to the truth.”
Earlier this week, investigators faced another humiliation after detaining a delivery driver in connection to Nancy’s disappearance who was released and cleared from the case just hours later.
They previously admitted to having no suspects and no leads with the only person they are still openly searching for being the masked intruder captured in creepy doorbell footage from the night she vanished.
