All 11 Dinosaurs In Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, Ranked By How Powerful They Are

Jurᴀssic World Rebirth includes plenty of dinosaurs, and even introduces one of the scariest creatures the franchise has ever seen. In the most recent Jurᴀssic World movie, which is meant to start a new era for the franchise, Scarlett Johansson’s Zora Bennett and her team travel to a remote island to retrieve the DNA of the largest dinosaurs of the land, air, and sea.

On the island of Île Saint-Hubert, they encounter both herbivores and carnivores, as well as dangerous hybrid dinosaurs which were created by InGen. Even though Zora and the other main characters ultimately achieve their mission by the end of Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, there are many deaths in the film, once again proving that humans are no match for dinosaurs.

That’s especially true considering all the dinosaurs in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. The film includes many fan-favorite dinosaurs, such as the T. rex, Spinosaurus, and Mosasaurus. Therefore, here is every dinosaur in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, ranked by how powerful they are:

The Aquilops Acts Like A Pet In Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

Delores in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

The Aquilops is a small, herbivorous dinosaur that Isabella encounters after she and her family arrive on Île Saint-Hubert in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. Instead of treating it like a threat, Isabella embraces the Aquilops and even names it Dolores. For the rest of the movie, Dolores travels with Isabella and the other characters as they try to make their way off the island.

Even though Dolores is featured in many different scenes in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, the Aquilops doesn’t service the plot of the movie. Dolores is meant to be the cute dinosaur that kids will love. Without a doubt, Dolores’ inclusion in the film will result in significant merchandise sales.

Since Dolores is the smallest dinosaur featured in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, she sits at the bottom of this list. If any of the other dinosaurs in the film wanted to attack Dolores, they would easily be able to kill her. Thankfully, Isabella and her family survive the events of the movie, and she decides to take Dolores home with her, suggesting that the Aquilops will grow up as a happy pet.

Jurᴀssic World Rebirth’s Dilophosaurus Doesn’t Ever Attack

A Dilophosaurus stalking a woman in the distance in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

About halfway through Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, Teresa Delgado crosses a river to retrieve a raft for her family. As she’s crossing the river, she’s trying to be very careful not to wake up the sleeping T. rex. However, as Teresa makes her way to the InGen storage building, she is approached by a Dilophosaurus.

The Dilophosaurus has been seen multiple times before in the franchise in movies like the original Jurᴀssic Park and Jurᴀssic World Dominion. Even though this is not accurate to real life, these movies establish that they can spit venom at their enemies. In Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, the Dilophosaurus expands its neck frills and seems ready to attack Teresa.

However, the Dilophosaurus runs away when it spots the nearby T. rex. Rightfully so, the Dilophosaurus is clearly afraid of the T. rex in this scene. While they can be very dangerous to humans, their small size means they can’t match up against many other dinosaurs, which is exactly why they are near the bottom of this list.

The тιтanosaurus Are Peaceful Creatures In Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

Two тιтanosauruses swinging their tails in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

Without a doubt, the тιтanosaurus mating scene is the most wondrous moment in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. The characters watching the herbivores in the beautiful valley, paired with the amazing score, evoke the feeling of the Brachiosaurus scene in the original Jurᴀssic Park.

Since they are herbivores, Zora and her team do not feel threatened at all as they approach the group of тιтanosaurus in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. Even though they are the biggest dinosaurs in the film, the movie presents them as peaceful creatures, which is why they are near the bottom of this list.

However, these dinosaurs would likely be able to defend themselves if they needed to. тιтanosaurus’ mᴀssive size would make them difficult prey, which is probably why there are still so many of them on the island in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. Additionally, they could do some damage with their mᴀssive tails. Despite this, the тιтanosaurus is still not as powerful as the other dinosaurs on this list.

8

Velociraptors Have A Minor Role In Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

Jurᴀssic World Blue the raptor roaring in the woods

Even though Velociraptors are one of the most popular dinosaur species in the franchise, they have a small role in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. In the film, two Velociraptors sneak up on Xavier as he goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night. However, before they reach him, they are snatched up and carried away by Mutadons.

In previous Jurᴀssic movies, Velociraptors were presented as major threats. This brief moment establishes that they are not the most powerful dinosaurs on Île Saint-Hubert. These raptors would have easily killed Xavier if they reached him, but they do not stand a chance against InGen’s hybrid creations and the other dinosaurs on the island.

Unfortunately, more scenes featuring Velociraptors were cut from Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. It’s possible these scenes would have presented raptors as more dangerous creatures, but as it stands, they are quite weak in Rebirth. Therefore, even though they are an iconic dinosaur in the franchise, the new movie’s Velociraptors have to be near the bottom of this list.

7

The Ankylosaurus Has Sharp Horns In Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

Jurᴀssic Park's Ankylosaurus in the woods.

Similar to the Velociraptors, the Ankylosaurus has a very minor role in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. During the climax of the movie, an Ankylosaurus walks in front of Martin Krebs’ car, causing him to swerve out of the way as he is trying to escape the island after leaving the other characters behind.

This is the only time this dinosaur is seen in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. Because of this, it is not one of the more noteworthy dinosaurs in the movie. Even though it has a minimal role in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, the Ankylosaurus is a supremely powerful dinosaur.

These creatures may be herbivores, but they can easily defend themselves against other dinosaurs using their spikes and powerful tails. Ankylosauruses are practically living tanks, and they could use their tail to potentially break the bones of other dinosaurs. Therefore, even though it is not a natural-born hunter, it can hold its own in a fight against other dinosaurs.

6

Quetzalcoatlus’ Rule The Air In Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

LeClerc looking down at a quetzalcoatlus in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth.

After witnessing the immense beauty of the тιтanosaurus, Zora and her team encounter the much more dangerous Quetzalcoatlus in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. In the movie, the characters wisely admit that they would never be able to retrieve the DNA of a fully grown version of the creature. Therefore, they instead decide to sneak into a cliffside cave that has a Quetzalcoatlus nest.

This also proves to be a bad decision in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. As they are in the cave, a Quetzalcoatlus returns and starts attacking Zora and Henry. Thankfully, they are saved by LeClerk, but drawing the dinosaur’s attention away from Zora and Henry doesn’t end well for him. LeClerc ends up getting eaten and swallowed whole by the Quetzalcoatlus, which makes for the most horrific death in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth.

This scene proves just how terrifying and dangerous these dinosaurs can be. Since Quetzalcoatluses are capable of flight, most of the other dinosaurs in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth would have an incredibly difficult time against one in a fight. They may not be the biggest dinosaurs in the movie, but they are ᴅᴇᴀᴅly creatures.

5

Mutadons Are Enhanced Versions Of Raptors In Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

A Mutadon attacking in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth.

Speaking of creatures that can fly, Mutadons are one of the two hybrid dinosaurs introduced in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. Mutadons were created by mixing the DNA of Velociraptors and pteranodons, and proved to be incredibly powerful creatures. Showing the Mutadons easily kill the Velociraptors establishes them as one of the most powerful dinosaur species on Île Saint-Hubert.

However, Mutadons’ smaller build is the reason why they are not further up this list. As seen in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, Mutadons are about the same size as raptors. Therefore, while Mutadons can move fast in combat, they would still not stand a chance against the next four dinosaur species on this list.

4

Spinosaurus’ Hunt In A Pack In Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

The Spinosaurus attacks a boat in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

Zora and her team are attacked by a pack of Spinosauruses right after retrieving the DNA of the Mosasaurus in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. It is amazing to see the Spinosaurus return to the franchise after one stole the show in 2001’s Jurᴀssic Park III.

They are definitely one of the most powerful dinosaurs in the franchise, even managing to defeat a T. rex previously. However, many experts believe one would not be able to kill a T. rex in reality.

Despite this, the Spinosaurus is still one of the most dangerous dinosaur species on Île Saint-Hubert. In Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, they kill highly trained characters like Nina and Bobby. Therefore, while they do not top the T. rex and the other dinosaurs listed below, Spinosauruses have once again proven that they are incredibly powerful creatures.

3

The Tyrannosaurus Rex Has Always Been The King Of The Franchise

T. rex roaring in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

Because of the success of the first Jurᴀssic Park movie, the T. rex is easily the most popular dinosaur species to ever exist. Unfortunately, Jurᴀssic World Rebirth doesn’t feature one fighting any other dinosaur species. The dinosaur’s role in the movie is quite different.

In Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, the T. rex swims in the river while in pursuit of the Delgado family. This proves that, in addition to being one of the most feared predators on land, they can also hold their own in the water. Even though the T. rex fails to kill the Delgado family in Rebirth, it’s clear that most other dinosaurs on Île Saint-Hubert fear it.

Over three decades after the release of the first movie, it’s amazing to see the T. rex still being treated as one of the strongest dinosaur species in the franchise. It’s well known that T. rexes were some of the best hunters to ever roam our planet. They might not show it in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth, but their powerful nature is still true.

2

The Mosasaurus Swims The Waters Around The Island In Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

A dinosaur that looks like a whale splashing beside a boat in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

Jurᴀssic World Rebirth proves that T. rexes are strong swimmers, but they do not rule the waters. Instead, the franchise has established that Mosasauruses are the kings of the ocean. At the beginning of Rebirth, a Mosasaurus attacks both Reuben Delgado’s and Duncan Kinkaid’s boats, with the help of several Spinosauruses.

Since it is a water-based creature, it is hard to compare the Mosasaurus to a dinosaur like the T. rex. A fight between these two species is extremely unlikely since a Mosasaurus would never be found on land. However, the dinosaur is ranked higher on this list since it is far bigger and is capable of easily taking down an entire boat, along with its crew.

If a Mosasaurus and T. rex ever faced each other in the water, the former would easily win. The same is the case with most of the other dinosaur species in Jurᴀssic World Rebirth. Therefore, the Mosasaurus is one of the most powerful dinosaurs in the movie.
