I Fear The MCU Is Going To Bring 1 Hero Back After 3 Years In The Worst Place

While it would be exciting to see Moon Knight‘s Oscar Isaac in Avengers: Doomsday, Marc Spector needs a second season of his own series before he can team up with other MCU heroes. Marvel Studios has introduced a long list of new MCU characters throughout the Multiverse Saga. Yet, many of them weren’t included in Avengers: Doomsday‘s cast announcement in early 2025.

On July 31st, Oscar Isaac addressed the possibility of returning as Moon Knight in a Marvel movie. Isaac told Marvel fan @MarcsBack that “maybe one day, or in a movie we’ll see [Moon Knight] [return].” Three years after his MCU debut, Marc Spector is overdue for a second appearance, especially after his show’s post-credits tease.

Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight Would Be A Great Addition To Avengers: Doomsday (But He Needs To Return Beforehand)

Moon Knight Still Has Some Pending Matters To Attend

With multiple Marvel actors reprising their roles and many characters expected to make a cameo, Avengers: Doomsday would seem like the perfect place to feature Moon Knight. Moon Knight’s wide ᴀssortment of powers would make him a valuable ᴀsset in any of Avengers: Doomsday‘s teams. His invulnerability and connection to Khonshu’s power alone could make him a huge threat to Doctor Doom.

Moon Knight’s shifting perspective would present unprecedented dynamics between Khonshu’s avatar and the rest of Avengers: Doomsday‘s heroes. Depending on who’s leading the ship, Moon Knight could be an unpredictable ally with unconventional abilities, but also unexpected weaknesses within a team. Marc Spector could be a leader figure to other Avengers, whereas Steven Grant could be hesitant to dive into battle.

Moon Knight’s Post-Credits Scene Deserves A Season 2 Follow-Up

Jake Lockley Deserves To Be Properly Addressed

Oscar Isaac as Jake Lockley in the final moments of Moon Knight

While it would be thrilling to see Oscar Isaac’s anti-hero team up with the Avengers, Moon Knight‘s post-credits scene needs to be paid off in its own season. Moon Knight‘s credits scene introduced Jake Lockley, the third major alter within Marc Spector’s system. Avengers: Doomsday‘s mᴀssive plot would either have to gloss over Jake Lockley’s introduction or ignore him entirely.

Jake Lockley’s debut warrants proper development and integration into Marc Spector’s life. A full second season showing how all three alters navigate their shared existence is the bare minimum they deserve. Besides, Moon Knight season 2 would also prepare all three for the kind of high‑stakes, large‑scale conflict a movie as big as Avengers: Doomsday demands.

Avengers: Doomsday‘s cast doesn’t include Moon Knight, Werewolf by Night, Man‑Thing, or Elsa Bloodstone. These supernatural heroes have the potential to star in their own team-up project, such as the Midnight Sons, following Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Like Mahershala Ali’s Blade, a solo installment could better set up any team-up or crossover for Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight.
