The Bad Guys 2, the sequel to 2022’s The Bad Guys, is finally about to be released, and seeing as there are so many different avenues for films to be released these days, here is everything you need to know about the film’s theatrical release, as well as its inevitable release on streaming platforms and digital services.

The Bad Guys 2 features the same star-studded cast from the original, while also adding a few new members to the crew, as the тιтular Bad Guys are forced to turn back to a life of crime by a group of criminals who call themselves the Bad Girls.

DreamWorks is H๏τ off the success of the live-action How to Train Your Dragon remake, and luckily for them, The Bad Guys 2 is set to be another solid hit for them, as the first The Bad Guys became something of a sleeper hit, earning a lot of money and drumming up plenty of excitement for this new installment.

When Will The Bad Guys 2 Release On Streaming?

The Film Will Eventually Be Released On Peacock

As The Bad Guys 2 is from DreamWorks, which is owned by NBC, the movie will eventually find its way to the Peacock streaming service alongside the rest of DreamWorks’ film catalog. The exact date hasn’t yet been revealed, but DreamWorks’ past releases can give a hint as to when it will show up there.

The Bad Guys 2 will likely make its way to Peacock by November, considering that most of the company’s recent offerings, like The Wild Robot and Kung Fu Panda 4, made their way to streaming platforms three or four months after their initial theatrical release.

When Will The Bad Guys 2 Release On Digital?

The Digital Release Will Come Much Sooner Than Streaming

In between the movie’s theatrical and streaming releases, The Bad Guys 2 will undoubtedly be released for paid purchase on VOD services such as Amazon, iTunes, or Google Play. The exact date is, again, unknown, but previous data suggests that the movie will likely come out on these platforms in late August.

DreamWorks’ previous animated film, Dog Man, only took 19 days to hit digital storefronts, the same as The Wild Robot from the year before. While that seems quick, the movies were still available in theaters for some time after, meaning that The Bad Guys 2 will likely be given a similar treatment.
