Jurᴀssic World Rebirth Box Office Hits Major Global Milestone In Less Than One Month

As anticipated, Jurᴀssic World Rebirth is one of the biggest box office hits of the summer, and it’s just the third movie of 2025 to hit the milestone it blew past this weekend. The latest chapter in the $6 billion franchise acted as a soft reboot for the long-running series, returning to the original trilogy’s more compact, streamlined narrative style.

Jurᴀssic World Rebirth burst onto the scene with a five-day opening weekend north of $318 million, and has continued to blow past global box office milestones in the weeks since. Positive word of mouth and the mᴀssive built-in audience of the iconic franchise has helped the movie continue to draw ticket revenue despite plenty of summer tentpole compeтιтion.

According to ᴅᴇᴀᴅline, Jurᴀssic World Rebirth managed to cross the $300 million domestic box office milestone in its fourth week in theaters. As it stands, it is the third movie to cross that mark in 2025, behind only Lilo & Sтιтch and A Minecraft Movie. It will likely be joined soon by Superman and The Fantastic Four: First Steps.

What This Means For Jurᴀssic World Rebirth

There Is Still No Shortage Of Appeтιтe For Dinosaurs On The Big Screen

The Jurᴀssic World trilogy managed to gross over $4 billion combined, with roughly 2/3 of that total coming from the international market. The movies of course put up big domestic numbers as well, but with review scores for Jurᴀssic World: Dominion among the lowest in the franchise, there was some doubt about just how successful Jurᴀssic World Rebirth would be domestically.

Those worries have been laid to rest, as Jurᴀssic World Rebirth‘s current $301 million domestic total is just $75 million short of where Jurᴀssic World: Dominion ended its theatrical run ($376.85 million). It seems unlikely that Jurᴀssic World Rebirth ever gets near that total, especially with high-profile superhero movies Superman and The Fantastic Four: First Steps now stealing its audience.

Our Take On Jurᴀssic World Rebirth’s Latest Box Office Milestone

Jurᴀssic World 5 Seems Inevitable

Even if Jurᴀssic World Rebirth never cracks the $1 billion mark like its three predecessors, it should still be considered a resounding success. Its $180 million budget is relatively low compared to Fallen Kingdom and Dominion, and right now Rebirth is poised to finish somewhere between $700 and $800 million in global box office revenue.

With everything including marketing costs factored in, Jurᴀssic World: Fallen Kingdom is recognized as the second-most-expensive movie ever made, with an all-in price tag over $432 million.

That should be more than enough to get Jurᴀssic World 5 greenlit, as even despite middling (albeit better than its predecessors) reviews, a great cast led by Scarlett Johansson and a return to the dinosaur-centric roots of the Jurᴀssic Park franchise made Jurᴀssic World Rebirth a success.
