New Coyote Vs Acme Footage Features An Iconic Looney Tunes Character: “And It’s Not Chris Pratt”

While at San Diego Comic-Con, Coyote vs. Acme will feature one iconic Looney Tunes character after showing up in a clip. The Looney Tunes movie was originally announced in 2018. It even completed filming before it was revealed that Warner Bros. would be shelving the movie.

It was just this year that the infamous film was saved by a noble distributor, Ketchup Entertainment. Ketchup had previously distributed another Looney Tunes movie called The Day the Earth Blew Up. Now saved, the Coyote vs. Acme movie will be shown to audiences next year.

At an SDCC panel that ScreenRant attended, it was confirmed that Bugs Bunny will appear in Coyote vs Acme. Bugs’ appearance was revealed via footage from the movie, in which Will Forte’s character Kevin interacts with multiple Looney Tunes characters. In this clip, Wiles has hired Kevin. It was his first day in court in decades since he is used to settling cases. He’s up against slick Acme lawyer Buddy Crane (John Cena).

Kevin says, “That was really good,” and the stenographer writes that down. He says, “Please don’t write that down,” but that gets written down too. Kevin tries to have a glᴀss of water, and spills it on the table and himself. He stammers, says gobbledygook, and then “objection” to himself. Wiles pulls out Acme products as evidence while he’s talking and holds up a rocket skate with a faulty on switch.

He presses it, and Kevin says “nothing.” The rocket goes all over the room, and there is a cartoon drawing of a judge being chased by it. The scene then cuts to Kevin in a H๏τel room. He gets a call, where the person says, “What’s up doc?

Kevin asks who this is, but Bugs says he can’t tell him. Bugs says he has information that could end Acme for good and gives the address for 666 Scary Road Drive. Bugs gives a final call before hanging up, saying: “Acme has ears and eyes and ears everywhere.”

Moderator Paul Scheer was excited to see the appearance of Bugs. Voice actor Eric Bauza jokingly commented, “and it’s not Chris Pratt, either!” Dave Green also shared thatAnimated Peter Lorre is in the movie and he’s one of our favorite characters.”

What This Means For Coyote Vs. Acme

Bugs Will Help Its Popularity

The Pratt joke is a reference to the fact that the actor has taken on two notable voice acting roles, as Mario in The Super Mario Bros. Movie and Garfield in The Garfield Movie, in recent years. Pratt has also been criticized for his voice acting sounding too similar to his real voice, so having someone other than him play Bugs is refreshing.

Bugs Bunny is arguably the most popular and well-known character from Looney Tunes, so his appearance in the movie will be exciting to audiences. It has not yet been revealed how prominent his role will be in Coyote vs. Acme, but the footage suggests that the rambunctious rabbit is involved in some significant scheme.

The same SDCC panel also confirmed the release date for Coyote vs. Acme, which will come on August 28, 2026. Another clip was also released that showed more of Forte’s role, where he is hired by Wiles after seeing his commercial.

Our Take On Bugs Bunny’s Coyote Vs. Acme Appearance

He Will Help Entice Fans

Will Forte represents Wile E Coyote in court in Coyote vs Acme

Bugs Bunny did not appear in The Day the Earth Blew Up, so his appearance in Coyote vs. Acme will be a treat for Looney Tunes fans. It has been a while since the character has appeared in a theatrical feature film, so his role will be particularly exciting.

Overall, it looks like Coyote vs. Acme is shaping up to be an exciting Looney Tunes film. It will feature classic characters that audiences know and love alongside new human characters, creating a unique CGI-live-action hybrid experience.
