August 1 Will Be A Good Day For Jurᴀssic Park Fans

The Jurᴀssic Park franchise is one of the biggest movie series in history and fans of it have a lot to rejoice about starting on August 1. Starting in 1993, the Jurᴀssic Park series has been hugely profitable, with several entries grossing more than $1 billion at the box office.

In fact, the movies are still popular to this day, with Jurᴀssic World: Rebirth releasing in early July and grossing more than $650 million, proving there’s still a lot of love for the franchise. That’s extra impressive considering not every entry has been met with strong reviews from critics or audience members.

Regardless of how liked or disliked an entry is, the next Jurᴀssic Park movie comes out and people flock to theaters to watch dinosaurs wreak havoc. Starting in August, fans will have an easier time seeing their favorite Jurᴀssic Park movies.

The First Three Jurᴀssic Park Movies Hit Netflix On August 1

The Original Trilogy Will Be Available To Stream

Beginning on August 1st, 2025, the first three Jurᴀssic Park movies will be available to stream on Netflix. With such a sprawling franchise, it’s often difficult to find so many entries in one place. Nostalgic fans don’t have to worry about that, as they can now relive the films that arrived between 1993 and 2001.

Alas, the entire franchise isn’t available on Netflix as the Jurᴀssic World films, which came out between 2015 and 2022, aren’t going to be on there. However, other than the reappearance of some original characters, it almost acts as its own trilogy, meaning the first three films can stand alone.

That’s perfect for anyone with a Netflix subscription. They now have the option to go back and sit through the series they loved years ago or, if they’re new to Jurᴀssic Park, experience them for the first time ever.

Why You Should Watch The First Three Jurᴀssic Park Movies

The Franchise Is A Classic

It’s widely agreed that the original Jurᴀssic Park movie is a masterpiece. It’s one of the most impressive films ever crafted, with tense sequences, enjoyable characters, and special effects that look better than stuff that came decades later. It’s a no-brainer to either watch it for the first time or relive it.

It’s also great to get back to the cast and characters that made the franchise in the first place.

The real reason to watch these films on Netflix is to gain a greater appreciation for the sequels. It’s impossible to live up to the first film but The Lost World: Jurᴀssic Park is an underrated gem of a movie, while Jurᴀssic Park III still offers a lot of fun.

It’s also great to get back to the cast and characters that made the franchise in the first place. Although names like Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Chris Pratt are in later films, there’s something special about Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum.

There are also people who haven’t seen Jurᴀssic Park in a long time and might have forgotten how truly epic the special effects are. Every single time you watch the infamous T-Rex scene, it somehow looks more impressive. Those are just a handful of the many reasons to enjoy Jurᴀssic Park on Netflix in August.
