Skeet Ulrich’s Top Secret Role In Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 Teased As He Dodges Revealing His Idenтιтy

Screen Rant is at San Diego Comic-Con where Skeet Ulrich discussed his role at the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 panel. Skeet Ulrich has been cast in the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s sequel, although what character he’s playing hasn’t yet been revealed.

Screen Rant’s Brennan Klein was in attendance at the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 panel, where more news about the upcoming video game horror movie sequel was revealed. During the San Diego Comic-Con 2025 panel, Skeet Ulrich said in regards to his character, “I cannot [reveal what character I’m playing.] I play somebody with a very particular and specific past and somebody with a very deep emotional tie to what’s going on.”

Skeet Ulrich’s casting in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 was announced on July 24, 2025, and while the actor didn’t appear in the first Five Nights at Freddy’s movie, his character in the sequel still hasn’t been revealed. This has led to a lot of speculation online, with there being all kinds of theories as to who Skeet Ulrich could be playing.

What Skeet Ulrich’s Mystery Character Means For Five Nights At Freddy’s 2

Who Is The Actor Playing?

Adding Skeet Ulrich to the cast of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is incredibly exciting, opening all kinds of mysteries ahead of the sequel’s December 5, 2025, release date. It is possible that Skeet Ulrich could be playing an original character, like many of the other Five Nights at Freddy’s cast members. However, his comments mean that his role will be much more than a cameo, with him having significant ties to the film’s main story.

Skeet Ulrich’s Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 casting is also big news for fans of an unrelated horror franchise: Scream. Skeet Ulrich was one of the original Ghostface killers in the first Scream movie, with his partner in crime being played by Matthew Lillard. Matthew Lillard played William Afton in the first Five Nights at Freddy‘s, and with the actor returning for the sequel, both Ghostface killers will be reunited in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2.

Our Take On Skeet Ulrich’s Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 Casting

There Is Potential For A Great Scream Reunion

There are plenty of theories as to who Skeet Ulrich could be playing, with a plethora of Five Nights at Freddy‘s video game characters still having not appeared in the movies. One of the most popular theories is that Skeet Ulrich is playing the Cᴀssette Man, a character who is referenced throughout the franchise as the former partner of William Afton.

If Ulrich is truly playing the Cᴀssette Man, the actor’s casting makes sense based on Matthew Lillard’s role as William Afton. The two characters would be reuniting to play partners once again in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 if this theory is true, with Skeet Ulrich’s casting being one of the biggest pieces of news to come out of San Diego Comic-Con 2025.
