The Predator Becomes The Prey In New Action-Packed Predator: Badlands Trailer

An exciting new trailer for Prey director Dan Trachtenberg’s upcoming sci-fi blockbuster, Predator: Badlands, has been unleashed. This new Predator movie follows Dek, a young Predator outcast played by Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, as he hunts for big game on an alien planet with the help of Elle Fanning’s character, Thia, an android built by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation from the Alien franchise.

20th Century Studios released the first official trailer for Predator: Badlands online with the tagline, “First hunt. Last chance.” The latest footage reveals more details about the plot of Predator: Badlands, as well as who its two lead characters are and why they are working together.

It also depicts more of the heart-pounding sci-fi action centered around Dek and Thia, making this new Predator movie seem even more exciting. Check out the trailer below:

What This Means For Predator: Badlands

This New Trailer Explores The Movie’s Key Relationships And Dangers

With Fanning’s narration, the latest trailer for Predator: Badlands reveals that Dek is on his first hunt in a whole new world for the “definitive apex predator.” The trailer also reveals that Thia will share the android Bishop’s fate in Aliens by losing the bottom half of her body, most likely after an alien attack.

This will force her to rely on Dek to carry her around on his back like Chewbacca and C-3PO in The Empire Strikes Back. Thus, Thia offers to help Dek on his quest.

Though Thia thinks Dek is out of his league, the Predator refuses to admit defeat as the trailer presents sH๏τs of him facing giant beasts and armed soldiers.

The video even ends with a sH๏τ of someone piloting a giant mech suit, much like the one Ripley used in Aliens, and battling against a mᴀssive creature. This all implies that both the alien wildlife and human soldiers in this film will present some serious challenges for Dek and Thia to overcome.

Our Take On Predator: Badlands’ New Trailer

Predator: Badlands Seems To Be One Of The Biggest Action Films Of The Year

Dek roaring in Predator: Badlands

The trailer for Predator: Badlands teases another epic and exciting action movie coming in 2025, with a story centered on survival and carried by Dek and Thia’s unlikely partnership. The fact that Thia needs Dek to help her get around after losing her legs shows that their collaboration is necessary for them to stay alive and achieve their respective goals.

Also, with various dangerous enтιтies on the hunt in this trailer, Tratchenberg and his team seem to have a mᴀssive, brutal, and inventive sci-fi adventure in store for audiences.

With the Aliens Easter eggs present throughout the trailer, it even seems more likely that Predator: Badlands is building up to another crossover between Alien and Predator featuring an alien Xenomorph, which is welcome news if Trachtenberg is at the helm.

It now appears more likely that Predator: Badlands will wow critics and audiences when it comes out in theaters on November 7, 2025. After the success that Trachtenberg had directing Prey, the director seems to have another hit film on his hands with all the thrilling and eye-catching adventures on display in the trailer for Predator: Badlands.
