Kevin Feige’s Dream MCU Crossover Is Already Set To Be Reality Within 2 Years

Kevin Feige has revealed his dream Marvel Cinematic Universe crossover – one that could become a reality before 2027. The upcoming Marvel movies of the next few years are incredibly exciting for many reasons. Not only will we see another Spider-Man movie involving characters like The Punisher, but the story of Avengers: Doomsday is on the horizon.

This, and the plot of Avengers: Secret Wars, will see the Russo Brothers return to Marvel, with many hoping they can recapture the magic of the Infinity Saga. Beyond that, these movies offer a lot of room for classic MCU crossovers. Some of the best MCU movies have included crossover elements, with a new, exciting one teased by Kevin Feige himself.

Kevin Feige’s Latest 2025 Comments Saw Him Tease A Promising MCU Crossover

An Iconic Marvel Comics Duo Could Be Coming To The MCU

The tease in question came from a roundtable interview for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. ScreenRant‘s own Ash Crossan was in attendance to witness Kevin Feige outline a Fantastic Four crossover he’d love to witness in the MCU: Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and Spider-Man.

Feige revealed that chemistry reads were not conducted when casting the former, but that a “blue sky dream” of being able to portray certain dynamics is often in mind. Feige continued with:

“That’s a great example. That’s one of the key relationships in Marvel Comics, Johnny Storm and Peter Parker. And we’ve never been able to come close to it before…”

To finish, Feige insisted that this meet-up now being in the realm of possibility is what gets him up in the morning.

The MCU’s Current Setup Makes A Spider-Man & Fantastic Four Crossover Seem Impending Already

The Future Of The MCU Could Lead To A Meeting

What makes these comments even more interesting is that the current state of the MCU makes a Spider-Man and Fantastic Four crossover seem incredibly likely. The Fantastic Four: First Steps is, very aptly, the first step in making this possibility. The film will solidify the тιтular team as an MCU mainstay, which Thunderbolts*‘ post-credit scene confirmed.

Then, in 2026, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will return to the MCU. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will usher in a new era for the franchise’s version of the Web-Slinger, making him even more important to the movies beyond. Thanks to this setup, the MCU is making Peter Parker’s friendship with Johnny Storm more likely.

Where The Human Torch & Spider-Man Are Most Likely To Meet In The MCU

The reason for this is the two upcoming Avengers movies. Avengers: Doomsday‘s cast list is already confirmed to include the members of The Fantastic Four, proving just how integral they are going to be to the culmination of the Multiverse Saga. Although Spider-Man has not been confirmed for either yet, it is incredibly unlikely that he will not appear.

After all, Spider-Man is one of the MCU’s biggest, most recognizable heroes. For this reason alone, he can be expected to appear in Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars. Admittedly, the latter is the most likely place, as Avengers: Secret Wars is where the Fantastic Four’s fight against Dr. Doom will come to a head.

Therefore, it makes a lot of sense for Spidey to join up with them and the other Avengers in a final battle. If this happens, it would allow a team-up with Johnny Storm to come to fruition as soon as December 2027, fulfilling Kevin Feige’s most recent Marvel Cinematic Universe crossover dream.
