Alexandra Daddario Suits Up As Wonder Woman Following James Gunn’s Recent DCU Update For Diana Prince In New DC Art

Alexandra Daddario becomes the DC Universe’s version of Wonder Woman in thrilling new art. Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 3 was canceled despite the actress’ initial claims that DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran wanted to develop the film with her. Now, Gadot is out, and a new actress will be cast for DC’s upcoming movies and TV shows.

For a long time, there was no Wonder Woman movie set to be part of the DCU’s Chapter One. When Gunn announced the franchise’s slate of projects, the only Wonder Woman-related project was the Paradise Lost series, which would focus on the Amazons of Themyscira years before Diana Prince’s birth. However, a Wonder Woman movie is now being written at DC.

Based on that, Minsc93 shared on DeviantArt what Alexandra Daddario could look like as the DCU Wonder Woman.

Alexandra Daddario as Wonder Woman FAN ART

The art imagines Daddario in Wonder Woman’s classic costume, similar to how Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince looked in the DCEU movies. Daddario looks pitch-perfect for the role, and she has the necessary experience for it, even including a past at DC.

Could Alexandra Daddario Be The DC Universe’s Wonder Woman?

The Actress Has Played A Major DC Character Before

Recently, the DCU Wonder Woman received its biggest update yet. After Gunn revealed that the Wonder Woman film was being written, a new report from Variety claims that DC Studios is fast-tracking the Wonder Woman movie. Gunn has also said that as soon as the scripts for the DCU Wonder Woman and Batman movies are ready, production will start immediately.

At 39, Daddario might be a bit older than DC is looking for in its new Wonder Woman. The actress is only a year younger than Gal Gadot, with Daddario being 7 years older than the DCU’s Superman, David Corenswet. However, her Percy Jackson past ensures that the star knows exactly how to give life to the Greek-inspired warrior.

Adding to that is the fact that Daddario has a past at DC. She voiced one of DC’s biggest female characters, Lois Lane, in multiple animated movies in the Tomorrowverse continuity. With Gunn revealing that DCU actors will also voice their characters in animation and video games, Daddario has all the skills for the job.

Our Take On Whether Alexandra Daddario Could Be The DC Universe’s Wonder Woman

In the past, Alexandra Daddario revealed that she would love to star in a Wonder Woman movie. I believe she would be great for the role, and the fact that she remains a popular fancast a decade later is worth noting. With her experience playing determined women in movies, TV, and animation, Daddario could deliver a magnetic performance as Wonder Woman.
