Millie Bobby Brown’s New Netflix Movie Is Exciting, But Her Stranger Things Replacement Is Even Better

Millie Bobby Brown has enjoyed an impressive rise to fame, one that stands out among her generation. Though she had a couple of small roles in her earliest years, she became best known in 2016 when she made her debut as Eleven in Stranger Things. Since then, the show has become incredibly popular.

Brown has continued her relationship with Netflix with several other projects. Most recently, this includes the film The Electric State. Also starring Chris Pratt, this was a dystopian sci-fi film directed by the Russo Brothers.

Unlike Stranger Things, The Electric State received poor reviews. The film got just a 14% on Rotten Tomatoes, including a 4 out of 10-star review from ScreenRant‘s Alex Harrison. The Electric State still did decently well in terms of numbers, but left critics unimpressed.

Just this week, a new project was announced that will continue Brown’s work with Netflix. This will take the form of a rom-com called Just Picture It. The film will also star Gabriel LaBelle and is set to be directed by Lee Toland Krieger.

This sounds like an enjoyable movie and a tactical way for Brown to continue her working relationship with Netflix. That said, she has another upcoming project with the streamer that sounds even more exciting.

Enola Holmes 3 & Beyond Is Millie Bobby Brown’s Most Exciting Future

It Is Her Best Franchise Opportunity

Work is also underway on Enola Holmes 3. While the exact plot of the film is unknown, it will continue to follow the story of Sherlock Holmes’ sister, Enola, as she works to solve a new mystery. This time, the dubious case will emerge after Enola returns home to Malta.

The Enola Holmes series has been incredibly important in Brown’s career. The first movie saw her credited as a producer for the first time. At only 16 years old, Brown hit this milestone at an impressively young age. She also produced the sequel and will serve in the role for Enola Holmes 3.

Unlike Just Picture It, which is likely a one-off film, Enola Holmes is already a multi-film series. The movies have been well-received and done well on Netflix, so it seems likely that there will be even more installments after the third film.

As such, Enola Holmes offers the opportunity for a proper film franchise for Brown. Stranger Things season 5, which releases later this year, will mark the end of the Netflix series that first made Brown big. Though in a different genre, the Enola Holmes movies are the perfect way to fill that Eleven-sized void.
