Squid Game Star’s Next Netflix Thriller Is Releasing In Less Than Two Weeks

Warning: There are spoilers ahead for Squid Game season 3.

Kang Ha-neul’s Dae-ho may not have survived Squid Game season 3, but those who love his work can soon watch him in a new Netflix movie, coming to the platform in less than two weeks. Returning on June 27, the third season of the Hwang Dong-hyuk-created series serves to wrap up all storylines, killing off nearly all beloved side and central characters.

Kang’s Dae-ho, Player 388, played a pivotal role in the rebellion against the organizers of the game. He abandoned the cause when he became overwhelmed by the confrontation. Squid Game season 3 then saw him meet his demise at the hands of a guilt-ridden Seong Gi-hun, who sought revenge in the Hide and Seek game.

Starting as a TV actor, Kang gained critical acclaim for his work in the 2019 South Korean romance series When the Camellia Blooms, which is available to stream on Netflix. Squid Game marked Kang’s first series produced by the streamer, but it is not the only Netflix project the star is involved in.

Squid Game Star Kang Ha-Neul Has A New Netflix Movie Called Wall To Wall

It Releases On July 18, 2025

Kang can next be seen in the Netflix thriller, Wall to Wall, coming to the platform on July 18. From the director of the Netflix film Unlocked, the thriller follows a man who saves to buy an apartment, only for it to end in nightmares and mysterious noises from the neighbors.

Kim Tae-joon, who is known for exploring realistic settings in the thriller genre, is teaming up with the Squid Game actor, who took on the lead role of Woo-seong.

As teased by Wall to Wall‘s trailer, Kang is nearly unrecognizable in the new thriller that weaves psychological tension with unreliable narration. Centering around the mystery of what’s truly going on in the apartment building, the thriller dives deep into the discussion between the á´€ssumed supernatural terror and human-imposed conspiracy.

Wall To Wall Continues Kang Ha-Neul’s Incredible Year On Netflix

Several Of His 2025 Projects Have Been Successful

Kang Ha-neul in Tastefully Yours looking concerned

2025 has been a very fruitful year for Kang. Prior to the comeback of Squid Game season 3, Kang could be seen in the Netflix thriller Streaming, released in March in South Korea, where he starred as a top crime channel streamer who broadcast his investigations in real time. Since its release, many have praised the movie for showing a different side of the actor.

Wall to Wall, which seems different enough from all Kang’s other projects, sounds like an impressive addition that showcases the actor’s range.

In addition to Streaming and Squid Game, he also starred in Netflix’s rom-com Tastefully Yours as an arrogant heir who falls in love with a stubborn chef. While the series didn’t achieve high viewership in South Korea, it has attracted global attention.
