New The Fantastic Four: First Steps Clip Gives Glimpse Into Dinner With Marvel’s First Family

A new clip from The Fantastic Four: First Steps outlines dinner time with Marvel’s First Family. The Fantastic Four: First Steps is the final Marvel movie of 2025 and will be very important to the franchise’s future. Upcoming MCU movies, such as Avengers: Doomsday, will prove this, but first, the family needs to be introduced to the Marvel multiverse.

A video posted by Marvel Entertainment‘s YouTube channel begins this introduction, showing a clip of the four at one of their weekly Sunday dinners. The clip sees Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm wondering why Reed Richards and Sue Storm are late for dinner. The latter duo appears, prompting Johnny to tell them they’re late.

Sue and Reed react strangely, drawing a knowing look from Ben. Ben then questions Sue about whether she is pregnant, leading to celebrations all round when she reveals she is. Johnny tells Sue she’ll be a great mom, jokingly ribs Reed that he is out of his depth, and tells the family to sit down for Sunday dinner.

What The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Clip Means

An Important MCU Hero Is Being Teased

In terms of what this Fantastic Four: First Steps clip means, it is setting up a main element of the film’s story. Fantastic Four‘s cast will be bolstered by an important member from Marvel Comics, who has already been teased in the film’s marketing: Franklin Richards.

The son of Reed and Sue is often regarded as one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel universe. As such, his inclusion in the story is huge for the MCU, be it his potential in the fight against Galactus or the looming clash with Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. Until then, though, The Fantastic Four: First Steps is laying the groundwork for Franklin’s arrival.

Our Take On The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ “Sunday Dinner” Clip

Marvel’s First Family Has Never Been Better

Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) and Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal) looking amazed in The Fantastic Four: First Steps

I have been excited for The Fantastic Four: First Steps since its announcement, but this clip has only bolstered that. It is proof that Marvel Studios is getting a lot right about the тιтular team, from their individual dynamics with each other to their overall feel as a group. Thankfully, the emotional connections between all four shine through.

Ben Grimm is attentive and sweet as always as he realizes Sue is pregnant, while Johnny Storm remains the excitable, humorous character he always has been. What stands out here is the love that each character feels for one another, depicted perfectly by The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ cast.

Other elements work too, such as the impeccable CGI work on The Thing. Ben’s face is perfectly emotive, and the CGI never seems out of place. The production design of a 1960s-inspired retro-futuristic universe also looks great. All of this renders The Fantastic Four: First Steps‘ “Sunday Dinner” clip as a great first look at the story, only raising my excitement levels.
