Another MCU Hero Takes Loki’s Place In Avengers: Doomsday Theory To Let Him & Thor Finally Reunite

Loki’s life changes for the better in an Avengers: Doomsday theory that greatly reduces his chances of dying in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. Tom Hiddleston’s Loki has one of my favorite character arcs in the MCU. If it wasn’t for him as a villain, maybe 2012’s The Avengers would not be one of the MCU’s best movies and a hit.

Hiddleston always delivered as a villain, but as we saw, Loki could be so much more than that. I was thrilled by Disney+’s Loki series and how the show gave the actor two seasons to fully develop a new version of the character and make it as beloved as the original. The MCU’s slate of projects simply needs more Loki.

With Loki season 2’s ending making him the MCU’s God of Stories, aka the protector of the multiverse, I kept wondering how he could come back. However, after a few MCU updates, Hiddleston is confirmed to return soon to the franchise. That said, I was afraid that meant Loki would die again, but a new multiverse theory has eased my concerns.

Thor And Loki Can Finally Reunite Before It’s Too Late

The MCU Characters Are Two Of The Franchise’s Most Beloved

Loki’s MCU return could not be in a better project. While I would gladly show up for a possible Loki season 3, I feel the series ended in the best way it could have. That said, it does not have to be the end of the character’s MCU journey, and Avengers: Doomsday‘s cast announcement ensured that would not happen.

Hiddleston’s Loki and Chris Hemsworth’s Thor are part of the next Avengers movie. I doubt Marvel would include both MCU stars and not have them meet onscreen. As such, this would mark the first time that Thor and the variant Loki get together, and I feel the God of Thunder would be insanely proud of his brother’s multiverse dealings.

The 2015 Secret Wars reboot included many of the characters who will be in Avengers: Doomsday and ended with a reboot of the franchise.

Avengers: Secret Wars is rumored to reboot the MCU. That would make sense, given the 2015 Secret Wars reboot included many of the characters who will be in Avengers: Doomsday and ended with a reboot of the franchise. Due to that, I’m glad Marvel is giving fans the chance to see Loki and Thor in the same movie one more time.

Sylvie Could Take Loki’s Place In Avengers: Doomsday

The Avengers Movie Theory Imagines Loki’s Best God Of Stories Replacement

Instead of a quick reunion, I know a way for Loki to play a major role alongside Thor in Avengers: Doomsday. Hiddleston’s character could join the Avengers if someone else takes over for him. Well, Sylvie could emerge as the perfect candidate for Loki’s spot, and it would make sense if she ᴀssumed his place for a few important reasons.

First up is the fact that Sophia Di Martino’s character is a female version of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki. Adding to this is how Loki and Sylvie had a romantic connection in their Disney+ series. Finally, Sylvie’s arc in the MCU has all been about free will. I would say that protecting the multiverse makes even more sense for her than Loki.

As some time pᴀsses between Loki season 2 and Avengers: Doomsday, Sylvie will have lived her life without anyone controlling it for the first time. That is all thanks to Loki. When the Avengers and Thor come calling, Sylvie could sacrifice her happiness so Loki helps them stop Doctor Doom. Sylvie has the power and connection to do so.

Sylvie Would Be In Danger But Loki’s Chances Of Surviving Avengers: Doomsday Would Increase

If Sylvie were to take Loki’s place, then Avengers: Doomsday could see her die. With Avengers: Doomsday‘s story still a secret, all we know is that Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom will be involved with the multiverse somehow. That could be through him wanting to control it or salvage what is left after incursions hit.

Either way, Loki’s position is what he should be after to get what he wants. Instead of killing Loki to get it, Doctor Doom might have to go through Sylvie if the Avengers: Doomsday theory is accurate. This would allow Loki to stay in the MCU for years while giving him the motivation to kill Doctor Doom and another tragic story.
