There are quite a few songs featured in M3GAN 2.0. The 2025 movie is a sequel to Blumhouse and Atomic Monster’s 2023 hit about the тιтular killer doll (Amie Donald and Jenna Davis) and features the return of both her creator Gemma (Allison Williams) and Gemma’s niece Cady (Violet McGraw), who M3GAN is programmed to protect at all costs.
Thanks to M3GAN originally being designed to appeal to children, the original movie was so inundated with music that it could practically be considered a musical. Most notably, the M3GAN soundtrack features an unexpected performance of David Guetta and Sia’s “тιтanium,” which the robot sings as a lullaby for Cady.
The trailers for M3GAN 2.0 referenced that aspect of the original movie, featuring the notable pop songs “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday” by Boyz II Men, “Femininomenon” by Chappell Roan, and “Oops!…I Did It Again” by Britney Spears.
While none of those songs appeared on the soundtrack of the movie itself, the sequel does feature more than a dozen needle drop tracks, ranging from more obscure electronic tunes to television theme songs to outright classics.

When Every Song On The M3GAN 2.0 Soundtrack Plays In The Movie
One Of Them Is Performed By M3GAN Herself
“Hypnotised” by Franc Moody: After the opening scene of 2025’s M3GAN 2.0 introduces the AI villain AMELIA (Ivanna Sakhno), the lively Franc Moody track “Hypnotised” becomes the first needle drop on the soundtrack when it is used to underscore the montage reintroducing Gemma and Cady and catching the audience up with where both characters are in their lives.
“Heaven’s Gates (feat. Izzy Camina)” by Devault: “Heaven’s Gates” plays when AMELIA is getting ready to attend Alton Appleton’s (Jemaine Clement) party. The slick, Sєxy vibe of the song underscores the fact that she is preparing to masquerade as a sultry human woman and seduce the tech billionaire.
“Midnight Dipper (Soulwax Remix)” by Warmduscher: This is the first song heard at Alton’s party after he delivers a speech to his guests. The opening song that plays during the event, at which point people can be seen mingling, is the end of the previous needle drop track, “Heaven’s Gates.”
“Bonbon” by Lou Rebecca: This track by Lou Rebecca, who performs in both French and English, also plays during Alton’s party, though it underscores a scene rather than being prominently featured.
“Taboo” by Les Baxter: This easy listening song is yet another diegetic track that can be heard during Alton’s party. Alton puts on the song after he takes AMELIA to his private suite via a secret revolving door, not realizing that she is hunting him rather than the other way around.
The term “diegetic” refers to music that is being played or performed within the universe of a movie or television show, as opposed to the instrumental score, which only the audience can hear.
“Taboo” is the only song on the M3GAN 2.0 soundtrack that is specifically referenced by name over the course of the movie. This is because the album artwork, тιтle, and artist name can be seen via the high-tech visual display from the chip he has embedded in his brain.
The song is somewhat incidental to this moment, as it was most likely put into the movie because it is important for audiences to remember what Alton’s perspective looks like, because it plays into the way that AMELIA disorients and ultimately kills him by the end of that sequence.
“Knight Rider” by Glen Larson and Stu Phillips: The theme song to the four-season David Hᴀsselhoff series Knight Rider plays when M3GAN unveils that she has hijacked Alton’s high-tech car as a getaway vehicle for Gemma and Cole (Brian Jordan Alvarez).
This is an Easter egg referencing the fact that one of the main characters of the series is an artificially intelligent car named KITT. An even more subtle Easter egg contained in this moment is the fact that M3GAN 2.0 producer James Wan was attached to a film reboot of Knight Rider in 2020.
“Mars for the Rich” by King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard: This 2019 rock track underscores the beginning of the montage where Gemma, Cole, and Tess (Jen Van Epps) begin to redesign M3GAN so she can get her body back and properly protect Cady.
“Ordah” by Das Body: This more synth-forward song plays during the next portion of the redesign montage, when M3GAN is back in her body and showing off her upgraded skills, underscoring the technological advancements of her new design.
One of the advancements that M3GAN requests is that her body be made taller, which is a subtle way of accommodating the fact that the now 15-year-old actor Amie Donald is taller than she was when she originally played the body of M3GAN.
“Dance with the Devil (feat. Pussy Riot)” by Boyfriend: This intense and vibrant song underscores the beginning of the sequence at the AI convention, using electronic sounds to highlight the high-tech event as the setting of the upcoming sequence is established.
“Private Dancer” by Battle Tapes: This electronic rock song underscores the scene where M3GAN is forced to dance to blend in with cosplayers who are putting on a performance at the AI convention. The 2015 song is not a cover of the iconic 1984 Tina Turner song of the same name, though it references the original track in its lyrics.
“This Woman’s Work” by Kate Bush: “This Woman’s Work” is the last song on the soundtrack before the ending of M3GAN 2.0, and it occupies a very special place in the story. It is the only song that M3GAN performs herself, allowing her to follow up on her performance of “тιтanium” in the original movie with another vocal showcase.
This time, M3GAN is using the song to inspire Gemma after delivering a seemingly heartfelt monologue about the trials of motherhood. However, there is a comic reversal involved in the scene, because Gemma has no interest in hearing M3GAN perform the song, but the robotic doll forces her to sit and listen quietly.
“Boys Wanna Be Her (Tommy Sunshine’s Brooklyn Fire Retouch” by Peaches: This 2006 glam punk track about an effortlessly cool girl plays over the closing credits sequence of M3GAN 2.0, emphasizing the overall offbeat tone of the movie and its portrayal of the тιтle character.
According to the closing credits of the movie, “Slip Into Something More Comfortable,” which is a 2000 track by the British electronic group Kinobe that samples Engelbert Humperdinck’s “From Here to Eternity,” is played between “Taboo” and the “Knight Rider” theme, but the track is not front and center in the scene and blends with the instrumental score.
Where To Listen To M3GAN 2.0’s Soundtrack
Some Songs Aren’t Available On Streaming
At the time of writing, the full soundtrack of needle drops in M3GAN 2.0 has not been collected into an official release. However, the majority of the songs can be streamed on their respective artists’ pages on music streaming platforms such as Spotify, Amazon Music, and Apple Music, though there are some exceptions.
While re-recordings of the Knight Rider theme song are streamable, the original song is not. Additionally, while the Kate Bush version of “This Woman’s Work” is available, M3GAN’s rendition is not currently streamable.
Kate Bush had another major needle drop moment in the 2020s when her 1985 song “Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)” charted in multiple countries in 2022 after being featured prominently in Stranger Things season 4.
Additionally, the instrumental score of M3GAN 2.0, which consists of 29 tracks composed by Chris Bacon, is available to stream on the aforementioned platforms. A vinyl pressing of the score will also be coming from Waxwork Records in August, and it is available for pre-order at a price point of $40.
