New Superman Movie International Trailer Shows First Look At Super Breath In The DCU & More

David Corenswet’s Superman debuts a new power in the latest trailer for the DC Universe movie. The wait will soon end for DC’s new Superman, as James Gunn’s first DCU movie will be released in two weeks. With Superman‘s release inching closer, new trailers are starting to reveal the full scope of what to expect from Superman‘s cast of characters.

On the Chinese platform Bilibili, Warner Bros. Movies Official Account (via @corenswetmedia/Twitter) shared a new international trailer for DC’s Superman movie, showing the first look at a Man of Steel power.

The Superman movie footage includes the first use of Superman’s super breath, one of his classic powers, which may or may not freeze objects and characters. In the footage, it seems like he freezes what is beneath him and blows Krypto back at the same time.

During Clark Kent’s interview with Lois Lane, one of the film’s most anticipated moments, Superman reveals his goal on the planet, saying, “I was sent to serve humanity and help the world to be a better place.”

What The New DCU Superman Movie International Trailer Reveals

The DC Universe’s Man Of Steel Has Quite A Few Powers

Superman‘s international trailer offers a sizable portion of new footage, showing more of the Man of Steel in action and making his motivations clear. Superman’s personality is also showcased. While Henry Cavill’s version of the character tended to be more serious, Corenswet’s Superman will see his sense of humor shine in the DCU movie, though tense moments remain.

What the latest Superman trailer does is send home the message that Superman’s greatest power is his humanity. That can be seen when he holds a building from falling during the kaiju’s attack or the many times he saves Metropolis’ citizens in the footage. Corenswet’s Superman even says so himself, with the hero’s one goal being to help others.

That said, the hero will have formidable powers. His flight ability, heat vision, super strength, and more were showcased in previous trailers. Now, the DCU’s Superman shows off his super breath, which displays just how powerful the hero is. Finding the balance between the Superman and Clark Kent sides of Corenswet’s character seems to be what it is all about.

Our Take On The New DCU Superman Movie International Trailer

I think the new Superman international trailer is exciting. After the DCEU’s darker Superman story, I’m keen on following a Man of Steel who lives in a vibrant, comic-book-y world. The character can still face challenges that revolve around the fact that he is ultimately an alien, not a human. However, Superman is moving past them like I hoped he would.

Based on the latest Superman movie trailer, I’m convinced that the film could very well end up as the hero’s best.

Like James Gunn, I think that Superman’s most interesting part is not his incredible powers, but how a being so powerful, who could be a god among humans, is the kindest hero at DC. Superman saving Metropolis’ citizens and putting himself in harm’s way without thinking is truly what he is at his core. The DCU footage shows that.

Based on the latest Superman movie trailer, I’m convinced that the film could very well end up as the hero’s best. Corenswet’s portrayal of Clark Kent and Superman is on point. The VFX is looking great. The hero is powerful, but above all, kind, and Superman should thrive for it.
