A Pinch-Me Moment”: The MCU’s New Falcon Hypes Avengers: Doomsday’s “Scope And Scale

One of the newest heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe opens up about joining Avengers: Doomsday. With Phase 6 set to launch next month with The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the next film that Marvel Studios is currently working on for the MCU timeline is Avengers: Doomsday, as principal pH๏τography is underway. One of the many actors who will be back for the Phase 6 film adventure is Danny Ramirez, who has taken over as the new Falcon, following Sam Wilson becoming the franchise’s next Captain America.

During an exclusive interview with ScreenRant for Captain America: Brave New World’s home media release, Ramirez was asked about joining the Avengers: Doomsday cast, while also looking at the differences between the two respective MCU films. With Joe and Anthony Russo helming Avengers: Doomsday, Ramirez, who debuted in the MCU in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier TV show, shared the following about his next Marvel Studios film appearance:

Well, I can’t say anything about that. I’m just really excited to work with everyone that we get to work with. I think that’s a pinch-me moment is realizing the scope and scale of this film. I sit back and I think of the scope and scale of Captain America: Brave New World, and I’m, like, “That felt mᴀssive to me. That was epic. We got to fly, and had a dog fight in and against jets. The set pieces were mᴀssive.” And then, we do Doomsday, and I’m like, “Just when I thought it couldn’t get more absolutely magnificent in scope and scale, and the epic proportions of it,” that’s what’s exciting.

And to work with some of this talent is the other part that I’m like, maybe over the course of my entire career, I would have thought, “Oh, I’ll get to work with all these people,” but in one movie, to have an entire career’s worth of stars that you work with, and unbelievable artists, that’s the one of the biggest privileges of all. In one movie, I have a career’s worth of nuggets from everyone, right? Hearing tidbits on flows, process. I mean, Ian McKellen, imagine that! Stuff that like is what dreams are made of, so I think that’s what audiences should be excited about, is just the scope and scale of this thing.

What Danny Ramirez’s Avengers: Doomsday Comments Mean For The MCU

Since its inception, the Avengers installments have always been some of the most special releases for Marvel Studios, as that is when the MCU gets to really showcase how big it has become since Kevin Feige built out this continuity. That was one of the biggest takeaways during the big Marvel Studios’ live-stream when they announced the first ᴀssorted batch of the Avengers: Doomsday cast – which included Ramirez, also making him one of the newest heroes to become part of the iconic group. It’s clear that being part of this roster is incredibly exciting for the actor, especially since Avengers: Doomsday serves as one of The Multiverse Saga’s final installments.

With the many actors who have joined the MCU since 2008, the franchise has become a rich home for Marvel Comics’ beloved characters, which will make it all the more tremendous to see so many of them back together in Avengers: Doomsday. It’s also key to remember that there are more Avengers: Doomsday casting announcements on the way, as confirmed by Feige. That is bound to be another reason why Ramirez is thrilled for what is in store for the MCU audience with Avengers: Doomsday.

Based on everything Ramirez shared about being part of Avengers: Doomsday, it should be fascinating to see Joaquin getting to meet some of the MCU’s established characters, as well as other fellow newcomer heroes who have joined The Multiverse Saga since Phase 4. While Avengers: Doomsday, in true MCU fashion, is heavily wrapped in secrecy, time will tell when fans will get some glimpses from the Phase 6 movie, as filming is taking place. Hopefully, it won’t be long until the world gets a taste of what Ramirez is teasing about Avengers: Doomsday.

Captain America: Brave New World is available on DVD, Blu-ray, and Ultra HD Blu-ray.
