In a February 2025 interview with RTE News, Weir was asked to respond to the rumors that she would be playing Dorothy in Wicked: For Good. Weir is one of the more well-known actors in this age category, especially among those known for both musicals and standard movies. As such, her casting in Wicked: For Good would make sense, and the growing evidence of this claim makes it seem more likely.
