In a shocking and reckless escalation of the Iran-Israel war, Iranian forces have launched direct missile and drone strikes on both Dubai and Doha, targeting key infrastructure and U.S.-linked military sites in the heart of the Gulf.

Explosions rocked the UAE’s financial capital Dubai and Qatar’s capital Doha late Thursday night. Iranian drones and ballistic missiles struck areas near Dubai’s Jebel Ali port and industrial zones, while separate attacks hit the outskirts of Doha, close to Al Udeid Air Base — the largest U.S. military installation in the Middle East. Thick black smoke rose over both cities as fires burned at critical facilities. UAE and Qatari authorities confirmed damage to infrastructure, with early reports of casualties and significant disruption to energy and logistics operations.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility, calling the strikes “precise retaliation” for U.S. and Israeli aggression under Operation Epic Fury. Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei’s regime warned that any nation hosting American bases used against Iran will face “continuous and painful consequences.”

This marks a dangerous new phase in the conflict. By openly attacking the UAE and Qatar — America’s most important strategic partners in the Gulf — Iran is deliberately expanding the war into the economic and military core of the region. U.S. troops stationed at Al Udeid and other Gulf bases are now directly at risk, raising serious concerns about the safety of thousands of American personnel.
The timing could not be worse for Washington. The U.S. has already spent more than $11 billion in munitions in just two weeks. Both the USS Gerald R. Ford and USS Abraham Lincoln remain severely limited by repeated fires and Iranian missile damage. Critical radar systems across the Gulf have been destroyed, and interceptor stockpiles are running dangerously low. Israel continues to face relentless Iranian missile barrages.
As fires burn in Dubai and Doha and the shadow of wider war spreads across the Gulf, one urgent question is emerging: Has Operation Epic Fury not only failed to contain Iran, but succeeded in dragging America’s closest Arab allies into a ᴅᴇᴀᴅly conflict they cannot escape?
The war is no longer just between the U.S., Israel, and Iran. It is rapidly becoming a regional firestorm — and U.S. troops are now firmly in the line of fire.
