Channing Tatum & Jamie Foxx’s Underrated 12-Year-Old Action Movie Is Now Streaming For Free

Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx teamed up for an underrated action film in 2013, and it is now streaming for free for everyone to see. Disaster film master Roland Emmerich made a smaller-scale action movie called White House Down. While it underperformed at the box office when released, it is available for everyone to rediscover 12 years later.

White House Down stars Channing Tatum as John Cale, a Capitol police officer who takes his daughter on a White House tour when mercenaries attack the building. Jamie Foxx stars as James Sawyer, the President of the United States, and the man the mercenaries are targeting. The film also has an impressive cast, with Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke, Richard Jenkins, Joey King, and James Woods rounding out the lineup.

Now, fans can catch the movie for free on streaming. In June 2025, White House Down was added to Tubi. For those who don’t know, Tubi is a completely free streaming service that comes with ads to fund its existence. There are plenty of movies and TV shows on Tubi for fans to watch, and while it does have ads, the fact it is free makes it a great option to catch movies like White House Down.

What This Means For White House Down

Fans Can Finally Catch Up On This Underrated Action Thriller

Roland Emmerich’s movies are often hit-and-miss for many fans, but in this case, it wasn’t his fault that White House Down failed to make its mark at the box office. This smaller action thriller hit theaters at the same time as Olympus Has Fallen, and both movies had the same basic storyline: An invasion of the White House threatens the balance of power in the United States.

In some cases, such as with Armageddon and Deep Impact, fans chose one movie and made it a success. In that case, it was Armageddon. Sadly, neither White House Down nor Olympus Has Fallen saw success at the box office, although out of the two, it was Olympus Has Fallen that became a franchise. However, like with Deep Impact and Armageddon, the movie with the better critical score failed to become a hit. Fans can now rectify that by watching White House Down now that it is free on Tubi.
